Have you had your free flu vaccine yet?
The flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself against the flu this winter. πͺ
Here's the facts:
> nearly 100,000 Queenslanders caught the flu last year
> more than 7,000 of them ended up in hospital.
Queensland winters are too good to spend sick in bed. Getting vaccinated before the flu season helps to keep everyone well, so you donβt miss school, childcare or the fun stuff! βοΈ
The good news is, more flu vaccines have already been delivered this year than at the same time last year, with over one million doses distributed since mid-March. Supply is strong and continues to reach vaccination providers right across the state.
All Queenslanders 6 months and older can get their free flu vaccine now. Plus, there is the nasal spray flu vaccine available and free for children aged two to five years (before they turn 6).
