Amazing visual representation of our client Sally's fat loss journey of the past 28 weeks.

This included a whole lot of life, Christmas, New years and trips away etc

It's been so amazing to guide Sally through this journey so far

You will notice there is gaps in the data, you will notice there are weeks it went backwards, that's the life part.

The key is zooming out and looking at the data objectively and making sure overall its trending in the right direction.

You'll notice there hasn't been as big of a chance in body weight compared to waist measurement, this, along with her strength gains in the gym are a great indicator of fat loss and not just weight loss.

Welcome, a bit of a revamp and restart here.

We will be using this to share with you all what we do for our clients here at resilience health and performance.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words. If I had to sum this one up I would say Community, Connection, and Health. Which is exactly the 3 pillars our business is built upon.

For those of you that haven't signed up yet it is not to late!

6 weeks of nutritional education is about to get underway.
Week 1 we will be covering energy balance and manipulating body weight with and without tracking. Not everyone want's to weigh every gram of food they eat, and the reality that will annoy a lot of trainers? Most people don't want to achieve a physique that will require them too, especially not in the long term. Sure it can be a great tool to teach people what a serving size actually looks like for energy dense foods but it can be a scary process to transition away from tracking without worrying about the resulting aesthetic changes.

Okay so unless you have been hiding under a rock, you will be aware victoria has gone back into lockdown last night. ⁣

I know this is frustrating for a lot of people who have lost jobs, family, community, and their daily routines. ⁣

Working in the gym for the last 2 weeks I have spoken to many people who were dissatisfied with how they spent the last lockdown and were optimistic to make the most of this second round. ⁣

For a lot of people, the uncertainty of the first lockdown sent them into Netflix binges, and uber eats frenzies. ⁣

This time can be different if you so chose. ⁣


Resilience Health and Performance has decided to launch an educational 6-week program that focuses on food. ⁣

Not food-like products but really high-quality nutritious foods that can nourish our bodies. ⁣

Now of course being evidence-based practitioners we know that a calorie is a calorie for fat loss and we don’t have magical foods that will make you lose more fat.⁣

What we do have is a course that will educate you on how to lose weight with or without tracking, on how to increase satiety of your meals and how to break the vicious dieting/binge cycle. ⁣

We will also be exploring things like metabolic adaptation and different factors that explain why you have struggled to lose weight as easily as others in the past.⁣

We here at Resilience Health and Performance believe in food as medicine and as Dr Ann Wigmore said " The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison".⁣

Nutrition is a confusing and controversial topic at the best of times but with this program, we really want to educate you so that you can make the most informed and best choices for yourself and take back control of your health.

Some people would say we are in the personal training business but here at Resilience Health and Performance, we see training to be just a piece in the health puzzle. We teach our clients to be resilient in every sense of the word. We know that life is going to throw up challenges and this can’t be controlled, what we can control is how we react to this. To be resilient comes down to our ability to learn and adapt quickly in order to bounce back with a knowledge and understanding of how to respond to a challenge efficiently.
