The holidays can be such a special (and sometimes stressful) time especially when you’re travelling with your new little love.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before you set off 🎄

1️⃣ Plan around your baby’s rhythm
If you can, travel after feeds or naps, it makes the journey smoother for everyone.

2️⃣ Keep essentials close
Pack extra nappies, wipes, burp cloths, and a change of clothes (for both of you!).

3️⃣ Feeding on the go
Whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, find a quiet space where you can relax and remember, fed is best wherever you are 💕

4️⃣ Dress in layers
Planes, cars, and airports can all vary in temperature, easy-to-remove layers help keep your baby comfortable.

5️⃣ Take it slow
Babies pick up on your energy, give yourself grace, rest when you can, and don’t worry about sticking to a perfect schedule.

✨ The key? Flexibility and kindness (for you and baby!).

If you’d like more personalised postnatal or feeding support, I offer gentle, supportive care for new parents — in-person and via Telehealth (bulk billed).

📩 DM me anytime to chat about how I can support your journey this season.

Packing for a summer birth? ☀️
You don’t need to bring everything, just the things that will keep you cool, comfortable, and confident as you welcome your little one.

Think light layers, hydration, and comfort both for you and baby. Hospitals can get warm (and sometimes chilly at night), so pack smart with breathable fabrics and a few easy essentials.

And remember mama, it’s not just about what’s in the bag, but how ready and supported you feel walking into birth 💕

If you’re due this summer and want to feel calm, informed, and prepared. I’d love to support you with antenatal care and classes.

📩 DM me to start your summer birth prep today.

Let’s be real, contractions aren’t the same for everyone.

Some mums say it starts like strong period cramps, others feel a deep wave of pressure that builds and releases. You might feel it in your back, belly, or even your thighs and that’s all normal.

Each surge has a purpose, your body is working hard to bring your baby closer to you. 💛

If you’re pregnant and want to feel informed and confident before labour, my antenatal classes and continuity care are here to guide you every step of the way.

📩 DM me to book your antenatal care today.

Every baby finds their voice in their own time — but here’s a gentle guide on what to expect:
0–3 months:
Cooing, gurgling, and responding to your voice — the first signs of communication!

4–6 months:
Babies start experimenting with sounds — “ba,” “da,” “ga.” Lots of babbling!

7–9 months:
They begin to imitate tones and respond to familiar words — like their name or “no.”

10–12 months:
You might hear those magical first words — “mama,” “dada,” or “bye-bye.” 🥹

💡 How to support them:

Talk and sing often — your voice is their favorite sound

Make eye contact and respond to their babbles

Read together daily — it builds language and connection

Remember, every baby develops at their own pace. If you’re ever unsure, reach out to your midwife or child health nurse for guidance.

From bump to baby, what a beautiful journey 🩷
I first met this lovely couple, Emily and Rhyse, in my breastfeeding class and then had the joy of caring for them right through to 6 weeks postpartum.

Emily was an absolute superstar with breastfeeding, and little Mila is just perfect. ✨

It’s such a privilege to walk alongside families like theirs, watching confidence, love, and connection grow each step of the way.

Last visit for this lovely family - Lilly, Anthony & baby Charlotte 🩷

Saying goodbye is always the hardest part of my work especially to the beautiful families I’ve had the joy of supporting.

I’ve walked with this lovely family through their breastfeeding and postnatal journey, and watching their confidence grow has been such a privilege. Until we meet again, sweet family 💫
