We lost a much-loved member of our community this week.
A woman who gave her whole life to her small business. A woman who worked tirelessly, year after year, seemingly never ready to slow down.
She finally retired not long ago—something that felt well overdue—and on Monday, during a leisure motorcycle ride, she was tragically killed.
Our entire community is in shock. My heart is heavy.
She deserved more than just her work ethic. She deserved life. Joy. Time. Freedom. Rest. Adventure. All the things she had postponed, all the things she had earned.
And it’s made me stop. Really stop.
Because life can slip away at any moment.
We work so hard, chasing that light at the end of the tunnel called “retirement.” But what if that light never comes? What if it’s today, right now, that matters most?
So this is your reminder:
Book that trip
Kiss the cute boy
Ask that girl out l
Burn the candle sitting there collecting dust
Wear the expensive lingerie
Throw that wild dinner party with the exy champagne.
Call your grandparents
Take that leap
Start that hobby
Make a new friend
Step out of your comfort zone and live. Stop waiting for a better time. There may not be one. Put aside the fear, the past, the doubts, the excuses—and start saying yes.
We only get one shot at this life. Make it count. With love, with passion, with presence.
And please… don’t wait until tomorrow.
Rest in eternal peace Chris 🌷🤍
