World Music Therapy Day is celebrated annually on March 1, providing an opportunity for people worldwide to acknowledge the therapeutic benefits of music. Music Therapy employs music to alleviate stress and enhance mood and self expression through various activities, including composing, listening, singing, and playing instruments.

Music Therapists are trained professionals who use music to enhance health and wellbeing. They utilise a variety of techniques, including songwriting, lyric analysis, vocalisation, and instrumental performance, to assist people in developing skills, improving communication, increasing relaxation, and managing stress effectively.

Music Therapists work with people of all ages and backgrounds in various healthcare settings, addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs through evidence-based, personalised interventions. As a rapidly growing field, music therapy uniquely enables people to express their emotions and gain deeper insights into their lives.
