New instructor alert 🧡 We asked Jade the important stuff

Why do you love Yoga?
Because it’s the only place that truly feels like home. My yoga mat has travelled all over the world with me - and no matter where I land, it always brings me back to myself.

One thing you do every day to feel your best?
Wake up before the sunrise. There’s something peaceful about meeting the day before the world does.

Correct way to cut a toastie?
Triangles. My 5-year-old self was right.

Coffee order?
Peppermint tea or something herbal. Always calming.

I can never fully put into words how grateful I am for the team who show up every single day as their most genuine selves for our Tone community and for each other.

Tone is built on people who care deeply; the ones who notice when someone needs extra encouragement, who comes in to fill someone else’s cup whilst continuing to grow and fill their own. So much of what they do goes unseen, the planning. the learning. the energy they pour in before and after every class. 

On International Women’s Day, I want to honour the incredible women who make this community what it is and also acknowledge the men who stand alongside us with respect, support and heart.

Most people are doing recovery wrong because…
1. They think five minutes of stretching counts as recovery.
Quick stretches don’t target deep connective tissue (fascia), the way long passive holds do.

2. They never regulate their nervous system.
If your body stays in fight-or-flight, you’re not actually recovering you’re just pausing.

3. They only train muscles, not the tissue around them.
Yin works deeper, strengthening and lengthening connective tissue for long-term mobility.

4. They don’t balance intensity with stillness.
High-energy classes need a slower counterbalance so your body can properly adapt and rebuild.

5. They ignore the mental reset.
True recovery releases physical and mental tension leaving you recharged and realigned.

Back by popular demand, the TONE Mummas x OT Workshop returns with from Rise & Thrive OT

In this 60-minute session, we’ll move through a baby-led Pilates class, with Alaskah sharing practical, OT-approved sensory play ideas using everyday household items to support your baby’s development in their first year.
