Opening Saturdays staring October 14th

Due to consistent enquiries from patients in our increasingly busy lives from Saturday 14th October we will be opening on Saturdays from 9 to 5. There will be a surcharge of around 15% to scans done on this day to cover the increased wages due to penalty rates on Saturdays. At the same time we will be closing on Wednesdays to ensure sufficient time off for our Doctor.

Christmas hours

Closed Thursday 22nd Dec until Tuesday 3rd Jan. We will also be open on Wednesday 28th of Dec due to the time sensitivity of some scans. This day is already booked out but phones will be available that day. First day back is Wednesday 4th Jan. Otherwise email messages will be best but both phones and email will be unmonitored during the days off. Bookings will fill up quickly that first week back.

Wishing you all a safe and Merry Christmas and New year.

COVID-19 update.
The 1 in 4 square metre rule is still in place which still prevents us from allowing partners. Even vaccinated partners can still catch COVID-19 and be infectious which is why the NSW government has left the rule in place. The evidence is emerging that COVID-19 during pregnancy is a serious risk to both the mother and the unborn child. Pregnant mothers have only gained access to the vaccine recently and large numbers are still not fully vaccinated through no fault of their own.

We thank you for your patience as we emerge from this pandemic. Partners will be allowed when inside restrictions ease to 1 in 2 square metres and we will adjust our restrictions according to the rules.

This is still our biggest worry with all our women at the moment

This is still our biggest worry with all our women at the moment

As India's devastating second wave of COVID-19 infections is studied, doctors find dramatic increases in miscarriages and maternal deaths.

COVID-19 - No Partners Rule back in place

In line with the lockdown advice and the NSW premiers statement today to limit movements to essential movements only we will be limiting all appointments to patients only. No partners, children or support people are permitted inside the building. If someone is required for transport we ask they stay with the vehicle. Dr Kaushik is willing to talk to patients and their partners outside the building after the scan but we request you wear a mask even outside for this. Even 5 seconds of fleeting contact has been enough for delta strain transmission.

No patient can attend with any cold or flu symptoms even if you think its only allergies. This variant presents primarily as a runny nose to begin with. If you have any symptoms it is recommended you get tested. A negative covid test result within 24 hours of the appointment would be considered proof you are ok to be scanned. A mask will still be required for your safety.

All patients MUST wear a mask inside the building as per mandatory rules currently in place across the region. We apologise sincerely for the short notice and are contacting all future patients as fast as possible by sms.

Unfortunately this is a highly fluid situation but given the number of pregnant women attending the practice we need to be extremely cautious. The effects of COVID19 on a pregnancy can be devastating.

If you wish to cancel or change your appointment please ring 46256585.

We are easing our COVID-19 restrictions. We will be allowing 1 adult person to accompany a patient in the scan room. We wil still not be allowing children into the scan. All support people must sign in using the nsw covid app on attendance. We are unlikely to allow further easing until the vaccine roll-out is completed. Thankyou for your support during these difficult times.

Covid 19

Apoplogies: We are going to wait at least two weeks before easing our covid restrictions. The last time they were eased before Christmas it was a complete disaster. This means we will enforce a no partners rule to ensure safety of our patients and staff while things settle into the new regime.

Thankyou for your patience but we do feel the need to be ultra cautious to ensure no pregnant lady catches covid because of a scan. It is still very unclear the effects of COVID on an unborn child.

20/12/2020

The reintroduction of the 1 in 4 square metre rule means our current Covid rules including no partners in the scan room will remain unchanged for now. We will review the situation again in early January. Sorry but until the current situation is clearly contained we will need to monitor it closely.
