Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, often in the pelvis. Symptoms vary and can include pelvic pain, heavy periods, and infertility, but some people may experience no symptoms at all.
At our clinic, our pelvic floor physiotherapists can play a crucial role in improving quality of life and helping those with endometriosis manage symptoms more effectively by:
- Providing techniques to help manage pelvic pain; including muscle relaxation exercises.
- Releasing tight, overactive pelvic muscles.
- Teaching exercises and strategies that help improve bladder and bowel function.
Let’s work together to break the silence, raise awareness, and support those who are affected 💛

Your 6-week postpartum checkup with a pelvic floor physiotherapist typically focuses on assessing your recovery and addressing any physical changes after childbirth, such as the risk of pelvic organ prolapse, assessing your pelvic floor strength and how your core is functioning. ✨

Our physiotherapist will likely provide personalised exercises to strengthen your core and pelvic floor and teach you how to breathe properly to be able to engage your core muscles effectively.

Every mother’s body has its own unique path, and we are here to help you feel strong and confident as you embrace your postpartum journey. 💕
