These classes are a great opportunity to meet people, help gain an understanding of the changes occurring to the body, and the benefits exercise can have on symptom management.

INTRODUCING our new Exercise Physiology classes designed and run by our in house Exercise Physiologist Kailey πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

Kailey will be running multiple classes throughout the week starting with
Menopause (Women’s Health): Mondays 6:30pm-7:15pm
Restore: Tuesdays 5pm-5:45pm

Pricing is as follows
Option 1 - $25 for a single session
Option 2 - $35 per week ( unlimited classes, including access to our almighty, bolt, freestyle, endure, lite, box fit, Zumba, restore, and yoga classes)
Option 3- $40 per week for unlimited classes + access to upstairs gym
Option 4 - $200 for 10 classes (must use in 13 weeks from purchase)

🦡 VMO STEP UP- Unlock Foot, Knee and Ankle Function!

Picture this: You're standing with one foot poised on a step, balancing on the ball of your foot, with bent knee and tall posture. The opposite leg is held straight with the heel to the ground down, toes up (hint: this stops you pushing off the straight leg).

Here's where the work comes in. Push through the bent knee while pushing your heel down and simultaneously lift the opposite knee to 90 degrees and pause at the top. Try to maintain level hips throughout the move. REturn to the stat position and repeat. Hint: Bare feet is best if you want the bonus of loading intrinsic foot muscles and your deep calf flexors.

πŸ’ͺ Adding on to all the positives from our last VMO tip this simple movement is corrective based, meaning it works on the stabilisers of the foot, hip and knee. The VMO is the main prime mover here and will always fire more efficiently if the other stabilisers are doing their job. Complete 10-15 reps per side with moderate tempo and repeat for a second set. Add weight such as a Kb to increase load.

Picture this: You're standing with one foot poised on a step, balancing on the ball of your foot, knee slightly bent, and your posture as straight as an arrow. Next, you're going to step back and forth with your other foot keeping the majority of your bodyweight on the balanced foot. What's the secret sauce? Keeping that knee steady and your posture on point to activate your inner quad muscle, a.k.a., the VMO (vastus medialis oblique).

πŸ’ͺ The Real Perk: By focusing on this muscle, we're diving into the world of closed kinetic chain exercises. πŸ”„ What does that mean? Unlike say a knee extension machine that is open chain, your foot is grounded which brings in accessory muscles including the deep calf muscles that support the arch of your foot. LITE caters to beginners and mature participants. Work through a measured, slower paced workout, focusing on mobility, stability and strength.

These classes run every Monday and Thursday at 9:30 am till 10:15 am
