This sweet Pied Currawong was rescued by a member of public last night, on the side of the road and not moving when approached and came to me for check over and rehabilitation. After a bit of a rest for a concussion and check over, he was ready to go back to his home. Sometimes we all need to take a little rest and recovery time. 💛 This is the best part of it all. 🙌 watch him go.

Welcome Tawny Frogmouth.
Yesterday late morning I found out I'd be having a visitor to care for over the weekend. My first Tawny Frogmouth 🤩
I just ❤ this guy, but stay mindful he is a wild bird and soon will be ready for his usual carer to release him.
Unlike owls they don't have curved talons on their feet. With their nocturnal habit and owl-like appearance, Tawny Frogmouths are often confused with owls.

They have big mouths very different to a Parrot or a Raven. I thought I would be nervous feeding him but was pleasantly surprised how relaxed I was.😎
They are such funny birds and this one made me giggle🤭 as they don't like being watched when they swallow their food. So I would feed him a bit, turn away and look back in time to make sure his food went down. He was all over it. Just as a test I fed him some food and watched 😁 he just kept it in the back of his mouth until I looked away, then down it went. 😂🥰
Tawny Frogmouths spiritually, are a reminder of protection from spirit , wisdom and positive outcomes. They have also been associated with Sharmanic powers. 🥰
