We wanted to let you know that due to our class capacity and active waitlists we will be increasing our cancellation window from 2 hours to 6 hours.
This change will come into effect as of 30 May 2025.
If you are unable to make it to a class please cancel your booking at least 6 hours prior to avoid the late cancellation/no show fee, or losing your class pass.

We are so thankful for your support and we cannot wait to keep supporting you within classes and beyond.

Calling all Canberra women aged 30+!

Sound CBR is partnering with LSKD to bring you this bone health and exercise education event.

By the end of the evening our goal is to help you understand more about perimenopause and the menopause transition as a whole (yes this can sometimes start sooner than we think).

You will learn about the type, amount and intensity of exercise that is used to help treat menopausal symptoms as well as counteract the considerable loss of bone mineral density that can occur during these years.

We are passionate about preventative health here at Sound CBR and we would love to help educate our community on how to prepare for and/or handle the big changes that happen during this transition, and to start the RIGHT exercise for our bodies!

The amazing LSKD team are not only supporting this event but will be in attendance, providing a special something for all attendees. 

We hope to see you at this event for a night of understanding, education and inclusivity for our Canberra community.

Happy International Women’s Day to our incredible Sound community as well as our wonderful, inspiring and caring practitioner, instructor and admin team! 🤍

These beautiful humans (and those not pictured) work tirelessly to support the women of our community across all life stages and we are so grateful for their passion and determination to give a little of themselves every single time they treat, teach and assist when you walk into our Sound CBR home 🫶🏼

Meet Kate Smith!
Kate is one of our lovely Women’s Health Physiotherapists at Sound CBR.
Kate loves assisting with pregnancy and birth preparation, post natal pelvic floor rehabilitation, stress and urge urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, male pre and post prostatectomy care.

A little more about Kate:
After completing her Physiotherapy degree in 2008 from The University of Sydney, Kate gained extensive experience working in both private and public sectors in Sydney, treating a varied caseload of complex patients as a senior rehabilitation Physiotherapist.

Kate spent 5 years living in Hong Kong, and after the birth of her first child she developed a special interest in Pelvic Health. She completed numerous professional development courses through WHTA (Women’s Health Training Associates) Australia, and later graduated from Curtin University with a Postgraduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Health. Kate now enjoys taking on a full pelvic health caseload.

As a mother and former athlete, Kate has a passion for post natal rehabilitation – whether that is meeting the demands of motherhood or return to elite sports. Kate strives to educate and empower women of all stages to optimise their pelvic health.

Outside of work Kate can be found running around with her two kids, in search of a great coffee, or planning their next overseas adventure.

Favourite Activity: exploring new cities 🌆
Any Pets? Not yet but I will eventually succumb to the puppy pressure from my kids! 🐶

Sound CBR is 3 today! 🥳

Crazy to think we opened our doors to our very first patient on this day 3 years ago. It has been a pleasure supporting the Canberra community through their perinatal journey’s, musculoskeletal injuries, mental health and wellness paths, and so much more!

Meet Tyla! Tyla is one of our wonderful Physiotherapists at Sound. Growing up on the South Coast of NSW, Tyla has always had a passion in sport, exercise and the human body. Tyla discovered an interest in Physiotherapy during high school, and once graduated, made the move to Canberra to study at the University of Canberra. Tyla is here for any of your musculoskeletal injuries. She loves treating back pain, pregnancy and postnatal injuries, lower limb injuries, and sporting injuries.

Favourite food: nachos Last travel destination: a road trip through South Australia Favourite activity: weekend camping trips, curling up reading a good book and spending time with friends Any pets? Frankie the Cavoodle and Koda the Moodle back at home in Kiama!
