Heart Support Australia’s very own consumer and peer support group leader Sharron Yaxley was recently interviewed by the media urging women to get a heart health check before it is too late.

Did you know women are 4-6x more like to die from heart disease than breast cancer.

Heart disease affects all people and anyone over the age of 45-yrs should see a GP or Cardiologist to start doing the appropriate assessments.

Heart Week finishes today but after Sharron’s story we hope many men and women take time out of their day to book an appointment to see their GP or Cardiologist before it is too late ❤️🩺

At Heart Support Australia, we know that small steps at work can make a big difference for your heart health.

Take 2 minutes every hour to stand up, stretch, or march in place. These simple movements help improve circulation, reduce stress, and support overall cardiovascular health.

Even short breaks throughout your workday can contribute to a stronger, healthier heart — because looking after your heart shouldn’t stop when you’re at your desk.
