Lately I’ve been having this thought that maybe I’m not contributing enough, or maybe my job is silly – teaching people to teach yoga when the world is…well...
Is that useful enough? Is that making a difference.
But, then, I go to work and I am helping people. Helping them achieve a dream, and build a career, and a community, and support other people.
You know, yoga! You get on your mat and you can breathe, and be with your body, and be with your feelings, and move, and rest, and recover, then return to your world with more grounding, with more clarity, and making more conscious choices.
Well, if that’s all I do in the world is help people to have that space, and help people to create that space, I think that’s useful. If that’s what I do to make the world a better place, I’m good with that.

If you’re just getting back on the mat this week after the holidays, perhaps we can leave the lofty resolutions and goals at the door - even if just for today.
The holidays can be joyful, nourishing, chaotic, and challenging all at once. So let’s give ourselves permission to return gently, without needing to pick up exactly where we left off.
Maybe your body feels a little stiffer or more tired. Maybe your mind needs time to settle back into focus and awareness after being elsewhere for a while. If that’s the case, allow yourself that time.
And if you’re carrying tension from this moment in the world - that fractured attention, that tightness in your breath - that’s all welcome here too.
For today, let this practice be a reintroduction.
A realigning.
An easing back in.

Happy New Year? Phew. 2025 really has been something, hasn’t it?
For many of us, it’s been a tough year in all sorts of ways. And while it’s important to acknowledge that, today I wanted to turn toward something a little more joyful - and something I do have some agency and control over: yoga.
My latest blog post explores a review of our Year of Yoga - an invitation to pause and reflect on the past year of practice, study, and teaching, and to gently begin imagining what the next year of yoga might hold. Not in a pressure-filled, goal-oriented way, but as a space for learning, growing, and connection.
Join me for this guided journaling practice to explore your learning, challenges & support, and start to dream your next year of yoga for 2026.
Part 1 – looking back. Explore what you’ve learned about yourself as a student and teacher. Reflect on what experiences brought joy, clarity, and growth. Consider how your relationship with yoga has changed since the start of the year.
Part 2 – obstacles & support. Identify obstacles, challenges, and places where you might still feel unsure. Acknowledge what support and resources helped you in 2025, and consider what support you might need moving forward.
Part 3 – imagine the future. Take some time to imagine how you want you practice and teaching to feel in this new year and either make a structured plan or invite your imagination in a Sankalpa/intention.
Find the article and downloadable journaling worksheet on the BLOG at Yoga Trinity .com (links in the bio) and join me for a year in review.
I hope you find it beneficial to take this time to reflect, to honour where you’ve been, and to gently shape where you’re going next.
