📸✨ R U OK event last week (13 – 15 September) was a massive success with many team members visiting us at the office and some of our office team visiting staff at various facilities around town. It served as an opportunity for us to come together and check in on each other, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being. We took photos at the photo station, indulged in sweet treats, and shared laughter and stories under a sea of balloons. Each carer also received special giveaways!

At Team National, R U OK Day is not just another day; it's a continuous commitment to support one another. Let's keep the conversation going, check in on each other, and make health a top priority. We're proud to be part of this growing team that cares. 🤗💙

When Ned and Josh call out, Team National responds… in a flash!

Yesterday, when Canberra’s most dynamic radio hosts Ned and Josh put out a call to Canberra businesses to provide merchandise from their business for them to wear on their show on Friday morning, Lisa and Natashia answered in a heartbeat! We gave them our standard employee welcome bag including a polo shirt, a name badge and a raft of goodies including a branded beanie, a frisbee, a drink bottle, a Wahu splat ball, reusable cutlery set and a massage ball.

Share The Dignity needs our help to end period poverty!

They are in need of 60,000 more packs to reach their goal of collecting 76,000 boxes of pads and tampons for their August Dignity Drive. One packet goes a long way so if you can put just one in their donation box located at your local Woolworths today until the 31st of August, that would really be amazing!

This week is NAIDOC Week, and while the theme this year, "For Our Elders", reminds that we can learn so much from our Elders, we can also learn from anyone who has "been there and done that" before us. And if we're the ones with the expertise - why not use it to help guide others who don't have the experience or knowledge we do 💜💙

This year's NAIDOC theme, "For Our Elders", is all about recognising the important role that our older generations have played and continue to play in our lives and in our community. We regularly "pay our respects to our elders past and present" and NAIDOC Week is an ideal time to reflect on what this really means to us, and how we can continue to respect, learn from, and connect with our Elders.

🎨 This year’s National NAIDOC Week Poster features artwork by Ngarluma, Kariyarra, Nyulnyul and Yawuru artist Bobbi Lockyer . Titled ‘For Our Elders’, the artwork pays tribute to our Elders and honours the integral role they play in our community.
