We are proud to have supported health and wellness organisation St Lukes in delivering free skin checks to communities across Tasmania recently.

With one of the highest skin cancer rates in Australia, improving access to early detection matters in Tassie.

Together, we helped complete 1,680 appointments across Hobart, Launceston and Devonport.

Thanks to our team and partners for helping make preventive healthcare more accessible for Tasmanians.

A special shout-out to our colleague Anna who fronted the cameras at one of the clinics, outlining what happens during the 15-minute free skin check.

Today on International Nurses Day, we recognise the nurses strengthening healthcare systems every day through leadership, innovation and compassionate care.

From remote communities to complex frontline environments, nurses are at the centre of safer, stronger and more resilient healthcare. This year’s theme, "Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives" is a powerful reminder that investing in nurses means investing in healthier communities for everyone.

Thank you to our nursing teams around the world for the skill, commitment and humanity you bring to every patient, every shift and every challenge.

The Gallipoli Scholarship Fund has been providing scholarships to descendants of Australian veterans since 1998.

Last week, the Aspen Medical Foundation sponsored a new scholarship at the 2026 Gallipoli Scholarship Fund awards ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.

The Aspen Medical Foundation Bursary is awarded to a student studying in a health-related field. In addition, applicants must identify as First Nations, extending eligibility to Pacific Islanders.

The inaugural bursary was awarded to Jackson Coaby from Adelaide.

Jackson plans to undertake a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at Adelaide University. Four of Jackson's First Nations ancestors, all brothers, served in the First World War in the Australian Imperial Force.

We are incredibly proud to support Jackson as he continues this legacy of courage, service and leadership through healthcare.

Sharing what works, where it matters most.

Our Director – Locum Programs, Jessica Andrew, had the opportunity to showcase the work of the Aspen Medical-managed Rural Locum Assistance Program at the recent 2026 Remote Aged Care Summit in Brisbane.

The program, which is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, was expanded in 2022 to include the provision of locums into rural and remote residential aged care facilities. Locums placed include facility managers, nurses, allied health professionals and aged care workers.

To date, the aged care component of the program has seen more than 1,000 placements in support of the most vulnerable citizens across Australia's rural, remote and very remote locations.

Jessica joined the company as a Travel Coordinator, then moved into our Australian operations team in 2018. Stints as a team leader in Virtual Health during COVID-19 and international operations followed before joining the Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP) team as National Manager in 2022.

Jessica took up her current role in July 2025, overseeing both Rural LAP and the NT Remote Locum Program.

Jessica said: “Every role, every challenge and every team has shaped who I am today. It has been an honour to grow alongside inspiring colleagues and to contribute to work that truly matters. More than 1,000 hearts healed in Fiji. 🩷

The Aspen Medical-managed Lautoka Hospital has now delivered over 1,000 cardiothoracic and cardiac procedures – a significant milestone for patients, families and the wider Fijian community.

This achievement reflects the strength of our partnership with the Fijian Government and the dedication of our clinical workforce, who provide high-quality, specialist care close to home. Patients who once needed to travel overseas for complex cardiac surgery can now access life-saving treatment at home.

By strengthening local capability and investing in sustainable healthcare delivery, we continue to improve access to critical services across the region.
