😴🧀 Nightmares after cheese? It’s not just an old wives’ tale!

A new study (July 2025) found that people with lactose intolerance were far more likely to report vivid, unsettling dreams after eating dairy. Researchers think tummy troubles like bloating or cramps may disrupt REM sleep and creep into dream content.

The takeaway?

If late-night cheese leaves you tossing, turning (and dreaming of monsters), it might be worth skipping the dairy before bed!

PROTEIN, FIBRE, FAT / Combining combinations of protein, fibre and fat is the key to calming down the food noise. Here are some examples. When selecting carbs, choose fibre rich varieties. Load half your plate with vege, add a palm of protein, a fibre rich carb or starchy vege and don’t forget that valuable fat. Of course these are just ideas, add in herbs and spices and mix things up to suit you! This is a template/guide. Lisa Xx
