We offer Yoga and Ayurveda, Rogue Brazilian Jujitsu and Traditional Art. Mandala Studio is an intentional, authentic, diverse and complementary place of practice in the established inner north Canberra suburb of Lyneham. We're a place for people to experience being. Enjoy a slow-paced, beginner-friendly yoga class with the community. Learn postures and be mindful of your breath to create a harmonious sense of steadiness and calm. Everyone and all levels are welcome.

New trainee yoga instructors are assigned to community classes to develop their teaching style and skills. Please come open-minded and ready to move.

MEET BIANCA 🌀🤍

We’re thrilled to introduce to the studio who will lead our newest class STRENGTH & BALANCE 6:15AM on Mondays from 7 April, and a powerful new Sunday morning 8:30AM FLOW each fortnight from 6 April 💪

Bianca embodies a balance between gentleness and power. Warm, personable, friendly, reliable, and encouraging, she brings a lifetime of diverse yoga practice and extensive teaching experience to the studio. Bianca is adept in yoga anatomy and passionate about the benefits of practicing being in poses correctly for individual bodies. In her classes, expect to be expertly guided with proper yoga posture alignment, structure and form. Her advanced knowledge and yoga experience guides her classes with confidence, structure, power, and devotion. She offers physical and energetic alignment to encourage a mind-body connection for strength, balance, and flexibility. Her beautiful nature and yoga wisdom is reflected in her incredible yoga classes.

✨What are 5 words that describe you:
Warm, personable, friendly, reliable, encouraging.

✨What can people expect in classes with you?
Expect to move through a sequence of yoga poses focusing on proper alignment and form. I’ll provide verbal cues, modification and adjustments if needed, all designed to promote body awareness, flexibility and mental calm.

✨What brought you to yoga?
I started yoga to improve flexibility and manage pain on my scoliosis. Throughout years of exploring my yoga practices of Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bikram and Jivamukti, I saw that balance was the root of flexibility. And I experienced a massive spiritual awakening at the same time.

✨What do you love about yoga?
Yoga has helped me repair my strenght and flexibility and so much more. It has helped me discover more about myself - my mind, body and spirit.

✨What do you love to do in your spare time?
I love dancing! I do K-pop dance, Salsation, Zumba and Hip-Hop. I also love exploring nature, hiking, walking on the beach and travelling to beautiful places. I am a foodie, a coffee lover and I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog Nobii, and my friends.

Has everyone met Mike? is the brain child of 25 year BJJ pro, Veteran and well known Australian Artist

Mike leads with members, for members. His experience as an artist and veteran living with PTSD, his support of connected communities and his belief in Brazilian jiu jitsu as a healing modality underpins Rogue BJJ.

Mike has studied martial arts most of his life. He’s a highly skilled black belt in BJJ and Karate and is passionate about the benefits of BJJ. He’s driven, passionate, kind and connected and he is committed to his community supporting personal growth and individual expression.

As senior coach and mentor, Mike encourages the community to see the big picture about what movement combined with mindfulness (BJJ, ART, YOGA) naturally does mentally, physically and emotionally. He has a highly technical instructing style based on his personal grappling principles. Mike uses different techniques to illustrate principles rather than a standard technique syllabus. He’s driven to support individual approaches to BJJ.

Essentially, Mike is an all round amazing human. Rogue BJJ is the culmination of decades of Mikes BJJ study, training, observation and reflection in what constitutes effective BJJ teaching and training.

And there’s more to him… but we’ve run out of space 😅

As individuals, we as humans are complex. We have multiple layers : physical, energetic, mental, emotional, spiritual.

Our practices help us integrate these layers of experience. Yoga and Ayurveda cleanse and clear space between these layers as we experience sensation and interpret our experience.

✨ They both require action and effort.

✨ They both require you to observe and ask you to be present.

✨ They both require you to be receptive to feedback - the effects we feel through our body, senses and mind.

Through consistent, steady application of Yoga and Ayurveda we can affect the quality or condition of ourselves. This involves and evolves our understanding of ourselves bringing us to our essence - and our state of yoga.

Did you know we are a venue for hire?

Our wellness studio space is available for hire for your workshop, class, training, art event or wellness event. At an hourly rate, the studio can be hired outside of our class timetable and public studio hours.

Our space is 100 square metres with large expansive gorgeous natural light, kitchenette, yoga props for 14 students, surrounded by one-of-a-kind contemporary Australian art by Michael Armstrong. We are wheelchair accessible and are positioned in a well known Canberra city location.
