💙💙💙 Happy National Volunteer Week! 💙💙💙

Kevin is our newest volunteer at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital. He loves being busy so has opted for a dual role, assisting in Day Surgery by supporting our staff, and setting up and serving light refreshments for post-operative patients.

Kevin also assists in Patient Services in an administrative role. Both departments have expressed gratitude in having Kevin’s help.

💙💙💙 Happy National Volunteer Week! 💙💙💙

This week is National Volunteer Week and at Calvary Bruce Private we want to take the opportunity to thank our incredible volunteers.

Our volunteers are more than just helpers—they bring comfort, dignity, and compassion to every patient, family, and staff member they come across.

We would like to introduce May, who has been volunteering for almost two years.

May started volunteering in Day Surgery by joining our staff and setting up/serving light refreshments for post-operative patients. May found a deep satisfaction in this role and enjoyed the patient interaction.

May has since expanded her support into the Medical Ward where she provides Meal Assistance and companionship to patients. May is valued and appreciated by staff and patients alike.

Hefner (the alpaca) visited Hyson Green today.
Hefner spent time with the patients and staff and was a HUGE success.
There was much interaction, conversation and loving on the alpaca done
Hefner was very gracious throughout and v well behaved.

Last Friday, we held a multicultural lunch at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital, where we had the chance to come together as a team and celebrate our diverse backgrounds. It was a great opportunity to share food, stories, and learn more about each other.
Creating an inclusive environment is at the heart of what we do, and moments like this help strengthen our connection as a team.
