Dr Rob Willis will be visiting Canberra on the 15th of May and will be available for equine consultations. 🐴

Rob is a veterinarian with over 20 years clinical experience and a special interest in equine musculoskeletal medicine, performance dysfunction, subtle lameness and mobility issues. His approach combines veterinary assessment with acupuncture and biomechanical/manual treatment techniques to help improve comfort, movement and performance.

Appointments are suitable for horses with:
• Performance or behavioural changes under saddle
• Stiffness, asymmetry or reduced mobility
• Ongoing back, neck or pelvic discomfort
• Subtle lameness issues
• Horses with ongoing or difficult-to-localise discomfort

Rob enjoys working collaboratively alongside owners and equine professionals to support each horse’s individual needs and long-term performance goals.

How does the Tape work? 🎗️🩹✂️

Kinesiology tape is used for a variety of cases, some of the reasons for applying it to your horses include lymphatic drainage, pain relief, muscle and joint support, injury rehab and even proprioception. It is an effective way of providing support to your horse long after we leave and its design allows your horse to move without restriction.

A recent study proved that taping significantly reduced lumbar pain in horses (link below if you’re interested).
