Today is the Summer Solstice, Midsummer, Alban Hefin - the light of summer. The midpoint of our solar cycle, marking the longest day of the year. The Big Masculine energy is at its peak, supporting connectivity, community, and communion. All of these qualities are amplified by its alignment with the commencement of Australia’s summer holiday season.

The invitation is to set an intention for carrying this light forward as we now move toward the Autumn Equinox.

Below is a helpful reflection to support your intention setting process.

The Shedding — what can you let go of?

How can you carry more lightness in your heart? Perhaps there has been weight or workload that you’ve been carrying, or a need to push in order to achieve. This Solstice invites you to shed the effort, to let go and relax. While heavy lifting is part of life, there is an invitation right now to drop any additional weight or responsibility you’ve been carrying, and to just chill.

The Here & Now — what qualities can you bring to this very moment?

With letting go of effort and relaxing, how can you share the wealth and abundance? Right now, it’s time not only to rest, but also to share your abundance with those you love and your community. Whether it is financial or spiritual prosperity, you don’t need to worry about the future. Enjoy the stability you’ve created and, through this sense of security, help others feel the same. You shine brighter by helping others shine bright. Be like a tree that shares her fruits with all who are lucky enough to be in her presence.

The Invitation — what qualities to foster in the Sun cycle ahead

Once you’ve moved through this period, you can begin to turn inward. A walk toward truth. Midsummer to the Autumn Equinox marks a spiritual journey along the path of knowledge and self-discovery. It is a time to turn inward and climb the mountain of deeper understanding. There is an invitation to create more space for solitude, to explore the inner world, and to breathe into whatever discoveries arise. Who are you, and where is your personal path leading you? Why are you here?

This inward voyage is the most rewarding and exciting adventure one can ever take.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

The last men’s group breathwork is on 9 December 2025.

An opportunity to take stock of the year that was, and ready oneself for the year ahead. Together we can celebrate our growth, challenges, hurdles and victories.

Not being too prophetic, but 2025 has been a huge year of transformation for so many people. For some people, it’s a result of some hard yards put into their inner processing, which resulted in some major threshold crossing. For others, some unexpected external event or a old familiar pattern reaches breaking point, which forces the change process to take place. I’ve witnessed this in the men’s group, client work and others in my community. Shedding our skin like a snake 🐍.

It’s said it has been the year of endings and new beginnings, and that feels super true for many (does for me!).

The pace of change will continue accelerate in 2026. 🙌

The Summer Solstice this year is in 20-21 December, so this will be the closest breathwork session I’m offering to this junction - a time to celebrate and connect. To embrace the peak masculine energy, and welcome the light.

Are you ready to unleash your creativity?! This special Q***r Breathwork event, hosted in partnership with and Transition Breath, will explore your creative energy through breath, body and creativity exercise.

This is a not to be missed opportunity to understand the barriers to your creative expression or deepen your creative practice.

This 2.5 to 3 hour workshop on 12 Nov will take place at the Youth Coalition of the ACT (O’Conner, Ngunnawal Country) and is sponsored by the Office of LGBTIQA+ Affairs. It’s available to all who identify with the LGBTIQA+ and allies - no creative practice or breathwork experience necessary, all welcome.

Men’s Group Breathwork! Only 4 spots remaining ⚡️

Join this community of men using conscious connected breathing and other embodiment practices, along with open and honest discussion, to support mental, emotional, physical and energetic health.

Much like a traditional men’s group, these sessions are an opportunity for men to gather and connect. Isolation and loneliness are two major factors in poor mental and emotional health - which is why regular monthly gatherings of this kind are so valuable.

No experience with breathwork necessary. All men, from all walks of life are welcome.

Men’s Group Breathwork returns, 23 September on the SPRING EQUINOX! 🌼

I’ll be offering this special breathwork event at the - in O’Conner, rather than my breathwork studio, so more spaces are available!

Who doesn’t love spring energy! It’s alive, full of new beginnings and refreshing energy after a rather cold winter. In spring, we welcome the return of Yang/masculine energy, after an extensive period with the Yin. Perfect energy for a men’s group.

All men are welcome, from all walks in life. Those new to breathwork are also welcome.

Why join? I’ve been offering men’s group breathwork since 2022, and have witnessed wonderful community of men all committed to their inner growth and consciousness expansion. Using embodiment practices, including conscious connected breathwork, participants explore that which exists beyond the everyday, thinking and analysing mind. From this place we can gain new understandings and insights about life.

I’m a holistic psychotherapist with 19 years experience of breathwork, and 20 years experience with meditation, plant-medicine and other nature-based insight practices.
