From Isolation to Belonging:

We were proud to see our CEO Dr Stephanie Hodson and Sam Robinson, Neighbours Every Day Campaign Manager, represent Relationships Australia as a sponsor organisation at the launch of Ending Loneliness Week at Parliament House.

A standout moment? Hearing powerful stories from the Youth Panel—each one a reminder that courage, connection and community can transform lives.

Dr Michelle Lim’s research shows chronic loneliness is a serious predictor of mental health challenges—but it also highlights a hopeful truth: small acts make a big difference.

✨ A genuine "how are you?"
✨ Inviting someone into conversation
✨ Checking in on a neighbour

These simple moments can shift someone from isolation to belonging.

Let’s keep asking: what meaningful moment will you create today?

🟢 Big news for headspace Wagga Wagga! 🟢

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Hon Emma McBride MP, Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Su***de Prevention, to the new headspace Wagga Wagga centre for the very first time!

It was great to show the Minister around the brand-new space with help from Youth Reference Group member Tom, who joined us to chat and help lead the tour. 💬

headspace Wagga is proud to be one of 30 headspace centres across the country selected to be upgraded to headspace Plus as part of the Albanese Government’s investment in youth mental health.

👥 headspace Plus is a new model of care that has been co-designed with young people to better meet their needs. It will increase our capacity to support young people with more complex needs or more severe conditions.

We're excited for what’s ahead and what this means for young people in our community.

Many people in the sandwich generation are feeling the pressure of caring for ageing parents while also supporting children or grandchildren—often while still working.

It’s a complex and growing challenge that takes time, energy, and emotional resilience.

That’s why it’s so important for carers to care for themselves, too—not just for their own wellbeing, but for their families as well.

Our CEO Steph recently joined Alice Matthews on ABC Radio to talk about the “care squeeze” and how we can better support carers in our communities. The conversation touched on the importance of:

✔️ Staying physically healthy
✔️ Keeping social connections strong
✔️ Holding onto a sense of self and identity

Because carers deserve care, too. 💙

Check out the interview below. ⬇️

Self-care can easily slip away when family responsibilities are keeping you busy.

Wonderful to see our CEO, Steph, spending time with David Smith MP over the weekend, cheering on the Tuggeranong Bushrangers RLFC - Bushies as they took on the Gungahlin Bulls! 🏉

It was a great opportunity to reflect on the real and practical power of connection through sport — in supporting mental health, wellbeing, and su***de prevention in our community.

Sport brings people together, tackles loneliness, and fosters a sense of belonging that truly matters.

We’re proud to sponsor the Bushrangers and to keep spreading the message about the power of relationships in building stronger, healthier communities.

Some awesome wins to the Bushies on the day too — well done team! 👏
