Having worked alongside a range of Allied Health services (including Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Exercise Physiologists, Pilates Practitioners and Sporting organisations) the team at CARM Therapies have a great working knowledge of injuries and chronic pain. We are dedicated to furthering our skills and knowledge so that our clients can feel secure and well looked after, and we are happy to go the extra mile to help clients out wherever possible. We also enjoy incorporating new practitioners and therapies into our clinic space, and believe that a holistic approach to health gets the best results for our valued clients.

As 2024 draws to a close, and the dawn of a new year fast approaches, we reflect on what has been a challenging, but rewarding year.

Both Emily and Kingsley finally completed certifications that they had been working towards over the past few years.

Kingsley completed his post graduate certification in Neuropuncture and will continue his studies to become a teacher of Neuropuncture in the new year.

Emily completed her Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy, and is embarking on a few smaller courses in the new year to complement those, but also aims to complete a bronze level boxing coaching certificate, as her love for the art and positive mental health side of the sport continues to grow.

Rowena also completed studies in Lymphatic Drainage, and is about to embark on certification in Personal Training next year!

Caitlin continues to study her degree in Radiography, having had a big year of work placements and looking forward to another big year ahead.

John remains a constant calming presence in the clinic in between his FIFO work, and is also looking to do more study in the new year.

And we welcomed a new team member in Erica who brings with her a Degree in Myotherapy.

We have listened to many stories of trials and tribulations over this past year. Many of us have lost loved ones, had illnesses or injuries, and gone through hard times. But through it all, amazing things have also happened and we have shared those moments together as well.

Let’s reflect on the positives, on the people we love, and look to the possibilities ahead for this new year.

Bring it on!!

Wishing all of our wonderful CARM community a safe and merry festive season!

Massive congratulations to Kingsley, having had many trials and tribulations over the past few years to finish this qualification, he has just been awarded his Certification in Neuropuncture - Neuroscience Acupuncture.

Kingsley began this qualification back in 2019 and was meant to complete the training in the USA in 2020. Unfortunately due to COVID19 that was interrupted, and four years on, he has finally been able to return to the training and successfully complete his certification to become the first Australian to be a certified Neuropuncturist! 🌟

We are so proud of him and his achievements and look forward to the opportunities this will open up for him going forward.

An interesting read about new research on the effect the brain and the vagus nerve have on inflammation and the immune system.

Scientists identify the brain cells that regulate inflammation, and pinpoint how they keep tabs on the immune response.

Well, what a year 2023 has been. Many of you would know that this year has been a challenging one for us in the clinic, and at times we struggled.

Between laundry equipment failings, payment system dramas, phone and internet issues, leaking roofs, rampant teenager gangs, and constant health issues, this year really pushed us to our limits.

And whilst we know that the interruptions to your appointments have been more than usual this year, we thank each and every one of our beautiful clients for extending us their love and support, and understanding that at times we simply couldn’t be there for you like we usually are.

Moving forward though - cause there’s no sense in dwelling on the past - 2024 brings with it exciting challenges, and the opportunity to create changes both within the clinic and within ourselves. All of us in the clinic are embarking on different studies, all looking to increase our knowledge and increase our skills. We are all also changing things up to ensure we look after ourselves more holistically, so we can lead by example, and be our most authentic healthy versions of ourselves.

Whilst I’m not really one for New Years Resolutions, I encourage everyone to make the little changes, explore the opportunities that come along, and work out what is really important to you and go in that direction.

I think it’s pretty safe to say we are glad to have made it to the end of 2023… we’ve all learnt a lot about ourselves this year!
And as the sun sets tonight, and we reflect on everything that’s happened, we can truly say that we are blessed to have a wonderful supportive community, and we look forward to 2024 being a year of abundance.

Here are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken this year… reminders that it wasn’t all doom and gloom!!
