In November 2026, the STOP Domestic Violence Conference heads to Canberra.
SDV26 will bring together practitioners, researchers, advocates, government, legal and service system leaders to confront what safety actually requires: risk and lethality prevention, system accountability, culturally safe and inclusive responses and coordinated implementation at scale. This year is designed for sector professionals who want solutions that work in real settings, with measurable outcomes.
π· Jacinta Ryan is a Team Leader and Senior DFSV Lead at Directions Health, and is a member of the SDV26 Committee.
"In the AOD and DFSV spaces, Iβm driven by the opportunity to support people through complex and often deeply personal challenges. These are areas where compassion and consistency can make a real difference. Whether itβs helping someone take their first step toward recovery or supporting someone to rebuild their life free from violence, even small progress can be life changing" - Jacinta
