👋 Welcome Brody Kilbey to WA Health Group & Burswood Health

We’re excited to welcome Brody Kilbey, Accredited Exercise Physiologist, who joins our teams at Burswood Health and WA Health Group Canning Vale as our new Senior Exercise Physiologist.

Brody is passionate about supporting people to manage chronic health conditions, build strength, and maintain independence through personalised, evidence-based exercise programs. He brings both strong clinical expertise and lived experience of persistent back pain, allowing him to connect with clients in a meaningful and practical way.

Brody works closely with people managing:
• Chronic metabolic conditions (including type 1 & type 2 diabetes)
• Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis
• Persistent back pain
• Long-term musculoskeletal conditions

His approach focuses on education, confidence-building, and practical strategies that fit into real life — helping clients understand their bodies and make sustainable progress toward their goals.

Our Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and General Manager, Samy Boutros, kicked off WA Health Group’s contribution to CHEL (Community Health, Education & Leadership) earlier this week by delivering our first session with 4th year Curtin Physiotherapy students for 2026.

We’re excited to welcome Reece to WA Health Group as our new Senior Physiotherapist.

Reece has a strong interest in lower limb sporting injuries, shoulder pain, and post-operative rehabilitation, with a background in basketball and AFL that gives him a real understanding of the physical demands of sport and recovery.

His approach is thorough, individualised, and goal-focused — taking the time to understand how your injury happened, what matters most to you, and building a tailored plan that helps you return to sport, work, and everyday life with confidence.

Reece combines hands-on treatment, clear education, and structured exercise-based rehab to support long-term outcomes and reduce the risk of re-injury.

We had one final training session for the year 2025!

To close out the year, our team came together for a masterclass in hip pain assessment, led by Reuben, our Specialist Physiotherapist in training.

Meet Kelsey Morrall — our newest physiotherapist visiting Apex Physiotherapy!
Kelsey joins us from Bundaberg, Queensland, as she and her husband, Chris, travel around Australia in their car and caravan. They’re spending time in Perth leading up to Christmas and exploring everything our beautiful city has to offer.

Kelsey brings over three years of private practice experience and graduated with Honours from Central Queensland University. She has a passion for working with a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations, with special interests in neurological rehabilitation, exercise-based therapy, and Pilates-informed programs.

Her approach is centred on helping people truly understand their condition and developing individualised, evidence-informed management plans. Kelsey combines targeted exercise prescription with effective manual therapy to support each person’s goals.

It was great to catch up this week with a good friend of WA Health Group, Pain Specialist Dr Jonathan Ramachenderan from PainScience.

It was valuable for Samy and Reuben from WA Health Group to connect and discuss our shared approach to pain, rehabilitation, and patient-centred care.

We appreciate Dr Jonathan’s compassionate and thoughtful approach to pain management. He takes the time to understand each person’s experience and focuses on identifying the underlying contributors to their pain, using conservative and evidence-based strategies as a foundation for care.

We look forward to continuing this professional relationship and supporting coordinated, patient-centred pathways for people accessing both services.
