We would like to welcome Dr Cecilia Pousette to our team of doctors at Whitsunday Family Practice.

Dr Cecilia Pousette graduated from Melbourne university 1999. She is originally from Sweden but decided to move to Australia in 1995.

Dr Cecilia started her university degree in Sweden however completed her Batchelor degree in medicine and surgery in Australia.
After graduating as a fellow of the GP college she did a 3 month course in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr Cecilia spent 7 years working as a GP in the southern suburbs of Melbourne. From there she moved to the Gold Coast in 2009.
In 2023 she decided to move up to the Whitsundays.
She is passionate about all aspects of general practice.

We would like to welcome Dr Richard Davies to our team of doctors at Whitsunday Family Practice.

With Fellowship of the RACGP, Dr Richard Davies is a Specialist General Practitioner. Having grown up in Wales, Dr Davies completed his medical degree in the UK, at Imperial College London, before moving to Australia in 2015. After working in Emergency care in Brisbane, he moved to the Whitsundays in 2019 and now calls the area home. He is passionate about health and fitness, and loves to spend time with his young family.

Dr May Hnin Oo received her medical degree in 2017 from the University of Medicine (1) Yangon in Myanmar. In 2020 Dr May relocated and started her journey to become fully qualified in Australia. Following the completion of her Medical Council exams, Dr May worked as a resident medical officer in Mackay Base Hospital for 3 years before joining general practice to pursue her interest in general practice.

Dr Rose Graduated in 2016 in Myanmar, in 2020 she complete her Australian Medical Council examinations.
She started working at Mackay base Hospital and in 2022 she decided to follow the GP training Pathway, inspired by her mother who is a GP in Myanmar running a family clinic attached to their childhood home.

Dr Khin graduated in Myanmar in 2015. She passed her Australian Medical Council exams in 2017 after this she worked in Gosford Hospital and Mackay Base Hospital from 2018 to 2021.
In 2022 Dr Khin decided to pursue a career in General Practice. She has a special interest in Mental health, preventative medicine, obesity medicine, geriatrics, and women’s health.
Dr Khin speaks Burmese, and English

Dr. Sarah completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney prior to relocating to Brisbane for her internship. After further training at Mackay Base Hospital, she travelled around Australia working as a Locum Doctor in several regional hospitals. She has now relocated to the Whitsundays and enjoys working in General Practice, as well as casually at the Proserpine District Hospital.
