How do I even begin this post?

Cape Paterson… you’ve been amazing.

I’ve met the most beautiful people. You’ve trusted me with your injuries and ailments, and honestly, the relationships we’ve built over the 3-and-a-half years have touched me deeply.

But, as many of you know, my time on the Bass Coast has almost come to an end. It’s not been an easy decision. But it’s definitely the right one. And I’m very optimistic for the next phase of life.

Imma gonna take a bit of a break ☀️ 🌺 🧘‍♀️ 🧶 🐶 between Tuesday 19th September and Monday 16th October as I recover from knee surgery to remove the last of my meniscus and something weird under my patella.
It’ll be like a holiday though, won’t it?? 😂😂.

I’ve had to disable online bookings though. Long story. Inconvenient, I know.
Usually I’m booked up around 10 days in advance. Sometimes more. Sometimes less.
The easiest way to make an appt is to shoot me a text (0488112222) with the days and times you’re available, and I’ll do my best to find something that suits us both.
Not Friday’s though 🤣

Huge gratitude to everyone who has trusted me with their musculoskeletal issues this year.
It’s been an amazing first year here at Cape Paterson. Thank you to all of my local clients for embracing what I do.
And just as much gratitude to my “old” clients for making the trip down when it’s time for a tune up.
Wishing you the happiest of times for the rest of this year, and an even happier 2023 🙏.

A little project I’m working on behind the scenes….
Me!
The first part of December was so much fun. Lots of food. Lots of socialising. So much fun. But when I hopped on the scales Monday morning… ohhhhh dear! It totally explained why it felt as though my clothes had shrunk 🤣
So I issued my bestie a challenge to finish off the second part of December with a bout of clean eating and daily movement. In other words, discipline!
I kicked into gear with the formula that enabled me to offload 40kg ten years ago…
1200 calories a day.
300 at breakfast.
400 at lunch.
300 at dinner.
200 in snacks - if needed - no later than 3pm.
Plus
500 calories of exercise each day (which for me, is a 1.5hr walk + some resistance work).
In the rain (and hail) and dark we’ve gone for our walkies after massive days that have had us both physically and mentally drained. But. We’ve gotten out there. No excuses.
Today is day 5.
The scales were very encouraging this morning.
-1.2kg
It’s been 5 days of laser focus.
Everything is being tracked (Strava for movement and My Fitness Pal for food) and weighed. And sleep, nutrition and movement are the priorities.
Funnily enough, my body and digestive system is behaving amazingly well. Who would have thought??
If you’re thinking of downsizing yourself now or in the new year, I promise you this structure works.

I could write so much more on this topic, but that’s enough for now 😆🙄🫣

Oh the battles my head and heart have been having over this.
Truth is, everything is costing sooooo much more for all of us. But…I haven’t increased my prices for over four years and I’m the most affordable (cheapest!!) Myotherapist around by quite a bit.
So, can I ask your help to find a price point that’s comfy for both of us?
I’m currently $80 for a full hour of hands on time.
What’s fair? $85? $88? $90?
Feel free to message me rather than comment if that feels better for you. And if an increase would mean you could no longer have treatment, I’d like to know that too.
