We’re beyond excited to announce our amazing New Associate Chiropractor joining the team, Dr Susan Jameson! Susan is available for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

She is an AHPRA registered Chiropractor as well as a trained Osteopath and Homeopath, with many years of experience helping people resolve pain and health issues, with hands-on treatment and wholistic natural medicine.

Over the years, Dr Jameson has developed a restorative style of treatment that incorporates both her Chiropractic and Osteopathic training. This includes muscle relaxation and spinal adjusting, as well as optional Dry Needling and Craniosacral Therapy.

Dr Jameson has a wealth of experience in training and practicing around the world including the USA, UK, New Zealand and Australia! She updates her clinical skills regularly with the latest information to always maintain current best practice.

We’re excited to announce our Mother’s Day Raffle & Silent Auction raising funds for Got Your Back Sista, a local Newcastle charity supporting women and children who have escaped the trauma of domestic violence. The money raised will help to provide:
- Furniture and household items for safe housing
- Courses and programmes for those affected, aiming to rebuild physical and emotional well being
- Pathways to further education and employment

Our prizes up for grabs in the raffle are all thanks to the generous donations of our local Carey Bay Shopping Village community. Tickets are $5 each for our Grand Prize valued at over $895! Entrants must be over 18 and please bring cash to purchase tickets. Prizes included:

Our silent auction is for a stunning indigenous gum leaf artwork generously donated by one of our very talented friends and patient of the practice, Jill. Jill is a 76 year old Wailwan woman making up part of the Westlakes Aboriginal Elders and the Nikinpa Aboriginal Art Group.

Bidding starts at $50 - bids can be made either in person at the practice or by contacting the clinic and we can enter a bid for you.

🎉👩🏻‍⚕️NEW ASSOCIATE CHIROPRACTOR!👩🏻‍⚕️🎉

Meet our New Associate Chiropractor Dr Alicia Neil starting on Tuesday 4th of March 2025! Alicia will be available for appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Alicia graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic.

Her journey into Chiropractic began during her teenage years, when she struggled with debilitating migraines that lasted for weeks. Despite visiting multiple hospitals and feeling increasingly discouraged, her life changed when her parents took her to a chiropractor. Over time, her migraines became less frequent, and this personal experience sparked her passion for chiropractic care.

Alicia finds fulfilment in helping others during challenging times and empowering them through chiropractic care, striving to promote a holistic approach to health and wellbeing,

She is particularly interested in treating headaches and TMJ disorders, and she looks forward to expanding her expertise in managing neurological conditions and paediatrics in the future.

Outside of the clinic, Alicia leads an active and healthy lifestyle, enjoying activities like Pilates, running, weightlifting, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

That’s a wrap for this years One Foot Forward fundraiser! We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the amazing people who donated over the month, all funds raised will go towards supporting Black Dog Institute and the many Australians who struggle with Mental Health.

Our initial fundraising goal of $500 was smashed out of the park reaching a total of $1,383! The link for donations below will remain active for anyone who may have missed the opportunity to donate during the month.

Our Principal Chiropractor Jack also went above his distance goal of 60km, amassing a total of 72km ran over October!

A big thank you to all the generous people who have donated so far! We’ve smashed our initial fundraising goal of $500 with the current tally at $763! So we’ve decided to up the stakes and push for $1,000 raised for the Black Dog Institute to support the many Australians who battle with Mental Health.

Hunter Back Care now has two locations in The Junction & Carey Bay. Longer appointments offering proper care & treatment.

At Hunter Back Care, we know a lot about looking after backs. And, unlike many chiros, we take the time with every appointment to make sure you are properly cared for. You won’t feel rushed or be locked into extensive schedules - this is real care, true expertise and excellent results.

Owned by principal chiropractor, Dr Chris Stathis, the team at HBC use a combination of techniques to relieve pain, restore healthy movement and get you back doing what you love.

Before he was a Chiropractor, Chris was a Registered Nurse, until he hurt his back while transferring a patient. Told he would be on pain killers for life, he finally agreed to see his Dad’s chiropractor and was completely impressed with the results. Chris then went back to Uni for 5 years to complete his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in Sydney to become a registered Chiropractor.
