🙉🙉ITS WHATS ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS 🙉🙉
There is a very important aspect of the human body that is so much more advanced than we even realise, it’s a system where emotions impact the body systems and the body systems impact emotions eg the gut brain axis… if you feel nervous you get butterflies right? 🤔.
Did you know that foods can actually be a contributor towards an imbalanced headspace eg coffee and anxiety, sugar and brain fog/irritability. That’s just a couple of examples
Did you know your emotions can affect your body systems? Eg feeling low can either decrease or increase appetite, tired can make you crave high go carbs and sugar, behavioural patterns like childhood and getting hurt or celebration which is emotion based lead to treats? .
There is so much more but this is just to quickly touch on how important it is to understand yourself.
a healthy outside starts on the inside🙌🏻 .
What are you doing for your insdes to make you feel good on the outside..

*What are your internal thoughts? Are they negative?.

Learn about yourself, grow as a person, make mistskes and learn from them, learn kindness and empathy, be compassionate. Create your non negotiables and boundaries.
Forgive and release, easier said than done and it won’t happen in a day that’s for sure.. but even in beautiful nature plants and flowers take time to grow and bloom.

Looks fade- souls are forever!💁🏼‍♀️😍 Love and give kindness without expecting to receive it, without settling for less than you deserve.. remember boundaries and staying true to your values and self worth. .
Anyone can go around and find hook ups that’s easy.. there is apps and all sorts, looks only last for so long until even the most attractive person- if they have an ugly heart - will show through and then what? 👊🏻🏋🏻‍♀️ Strength/weight training is a fundamental aspect of training for any athlete in any sport, and it’s no different for martial artists, especially those who are putting their bodies to the fullest test of their ability and having full contact fights 💪🏻 .
There is a giant misconception among martial artists that if you lift a dumbell you’re going to put on muscle at a ridiculous rate which will end up affecting your overall weight and weight cut, but it’s just not the case ✖️ .
If you have your weights programming tailored in a way that it focuses on strength, explosive power, joint conditioning and muscular endurance then this should not be an issue in terms of gaining total weight through muscle gain. .
It will however make you a much better athlete all around and with the correct programming even minimize injury too ✔️ .
An athlete should be giving themselves every opportunity to perform at their highest potential, and that should ABSOLUTELY include strength, power, conditioning and endurance training SPECIFIC to your sport and your goals 👊🏻.

Get yourself a cheer squad that believes in you, sees your strength and will always help you see your full potential 🔥😍and also have some laughs along the way 🥳.cukicc loves a pb (personal best) and backing it up with more after 🔥 when Anita first started her squats were 40kg and in the first session I saw this gal had so much untapped strength and it was headspace that was getting in the way.
After continually dedicating herself to her goals and becoming more confident and seeing her strength let’s fast forward to now..
Now Anita is part of proteam and prepping for her first fitness comp😱🥳🥰.
Sooooo proud of you Anita! It’s been amazing seeing you progress and grow as a person and in the gym 😍❤️.

💪🏻🔥Getting back into it 💪🏻🔥.
Smith machine squats are great for letting you really focus on technique, correcting it and also focusing on the right muscles.
Sometimes the barbell can put you off as it’s not fixed and it has a great place for b***y building.. actually overall making lots of muscles stronger. .
The smith machine takes away the balancing act and helps you get the most out of your squats and it’s great for people like me who are going through rehab and aren’t quite at the barbell stage yet..

⚖️InBody scans monthly alongside monthly reprogramming are a thing for members of Olympia 🏋️‍♀️.
If there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that your eyes can be really deceiving! 👀 .
Sometimes you might look in the mirror and think you’ve made no progress but in reality you just can’t see it because you spend so much time as session your body each day! .
The alternate is that you might think a program is working for you, but in actuality not much might be happening 😬 .
The best way to know what’s happening with your progress and if what you’re doing is working for you is by doing regular body composition scans ☑️ .
A number of years ago we invested approx $20,000 to purchase an InBody scan machine and it was one of the best things we ever did! .
Our personal training clients get to do an Inbody scan every fortnight (no extra cost) and our club members who don’t do personal training get to do an Inbody scan every 4 weeks (no extra cost) to help keep everyone accountable and to assess the effectiveness of programming 🤓 .

As many of you know by now (if you’ve been a member with us for some time especially), how difficult it is to become a trainer on the Olympia team. It’s not a fast or easy process, and our positions that we open up are absolutely few and far between. So for someone to be accepted on board as a trainer, they really have to be something SPECIAL and truly SOMETHING ELSE 😍

We are incredibly excited and proud to welcome Eden onto our team of specialist trainers for Muay Thai 🙏🏻

Many of you have had the opportunity to get to know Eden over the past 2 or so months of her proving herself amongst our team and members (lucky you!) 💛 For those of you who haven’t, here’s a bit about this incredible lass and her training history:

👊🏻 She’s had an active fighting career in Muay Thai for 6 years
👊🏻 She’s had 13 fights (13F 11W 2L)
👊🏻 Is a former ISKA QLD State Champion
👊🏻 Is a Women’s Super 4 Knockout Champion

While Eden has an intensive training and fighting background, you might be surprised to learn that she actually is incredibly passionate about introducing newcomers to the sport (whether just to get fit/recreationally or for those who want to take it more seriously) 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏾🙋🏻‍♂️

If you are the person that has trouble with comments that aren’t malicious or intended to be hurtful… please reflect and understand that everyone is on their own journey and are at different places and isn’t a reason to undo all your hard work. Keep going no matter what and be strong 💪🏻💪🏻❤️..

⚖️INBODY SCAN VARIABLES⚖️.
At we do INBODY scans once a month for every member that doesn’t have pt, if you are doing pt you get fortnightly scans.
What is an INBODY scan I hear you ask?.. INBODY scans send signals through the body which measure skeletal mass, muscle mass, water, fat, weight.. giving you a bodyfat percentage and a snapshot of how you are tracking in that moment..
It’s so much more accurate than just scales measuring weight.. for example you could have a kg of oranges and a kg of flour and it is 2 different things but same weight, the flour would be smaller right? That’s like muscle, Google 1kg muscle and 1kg fat.. the mass is so much compact with the muscle. .
The does have variables and different things can affect it so please take this into consideration and if you can see changes, you’re stronger, you’re fitter and healthier but your scan has a conflicting result.. go with your physical reality not a sheet with numbers. But if everything aligns and you know you have been off track and it’s gone up then you know why ☺️..

I remember when I was like 16/17 starting at gym and I used to go on the treadmill coz I knew I could run and that was all I recognised… to be honest even the treadmill freaked me out 🤣.
I would shark the machines.. you know “the drive by” where you walk past it trying to get glimpses of the pictures to try and figure out what the hell the machine was and did? 🥸🤣 I wouldn’t be able to see coz I am blind as a bat and then it would just look like I’m some 16/17 year old creeper or heaven forbid I sat on it backwards and tried to bicep curl the hamstring curl machine 🤣🤣 .
I remember going on the assisted chinup machine- if you have done this you will know the lighter number is actually harder as you’re lifting more of your own weight.. well I didn’t! I got up and went straight to the ground… BANNNNG and whole gym looked.. so back to the treadmills it was 🤣.then there was the time I split my pants but thats another story….
At olympia If you don’t know anything about anything when it comes to the gym?! That’s PERFECT! .
