It’s been a hot minute since I introduced myself here… so here I am — this is me.
W E L C O M E.
I’m Kendyl, a birth and lifestyle family photographer based in Perth, WA, capturing moments from your whole motherhood journey. I’m also a single mumma to two incredible girls.
Like most mums, my days are a mix of work, cleaning, cooking, taxi driving, shopping, managing chaos… being the world’s best hugger to the world’s loudest yeller — and everything in between.
If there are three things you should know about me…
1. I’m Mumma first.
It’s the most important role I have. I’m right where you are — in the thick of this giving season of life where so much of us goes to everyone else.
I know what it’s like to wonder if what we do as mothers really matters. That’s why I do what I do — to honour you, celebrate you, and acknowledge the incredible work you do in this season of life.
2. I’m obsessed with meaningful moments.
Those tiny little moments that make you pause and think “how do I freeze this?”
The laughter.
The way they look at you.
The quiet connection.
The moments you replay in your mind when you lie in bed at night — especially after a long chaotic day.
Those are the moments I want to preserve for you.
3. I’m a massive birth nerd.
I have a deep love for all things birth and the incredible transformation women go through during this season.
To me, birth is one of the most powerful and beautiful experiences a woman can have, and it’s an honour to witness and document.
And one more thing…
After a difficult end to my marriage, I began to see more clearly how little society truly upholds the value of a women — especially mothers.
Women who birth, nurture and raise the next generation carry so much responsibility, yet so often their work goes unseen.
In many ways, I see myself as a bit of a women’s advocate — hoping to remind women of their worth and strength one photograph at a time.
My greatest hope is that when you enter my space and welcome me into your story, you feel that you matter.
What you do matters.
What you sacrifice matters.
And that you feel seen, heard and celebrated in this season of your life.
