Huge thank you to the Stroke NSW group in the Sutherland Shire for inviting us to talk at one of their monthly meetings. It was great to share a bit about what we do and to learn about the experiences of those within the group. It’s an amazing network for those looking to connect with other stroke survivors, so we strongly recommend checking out for further information.

Every big milestone starts with the small wins 💪
At Linz Allied Rehab, we celebrate the everyday goals that make a huge difference —
⚾️ Squeezing a therapy ball again
🪥 Lifting an arm to brush your hair
🦵 Standing tall without support
🦽 Taking those first steps with a walker
💡 Reconnecting the mind and body to regain control after stroke, spinal cord injury, or Parkinson’s
🚶🚶‍♀️ Building the strength, balance, and confidence to one day walk unassisted
Our practitioners will help you develop an evidence-based, individualised rehabilitation program tailored to your goals — combining rehab, exercise, technology, and neuroscience to get you there.
💙 Your goals, our mission.

We’ve recently gotten to know Nora, and were thrilled that she shared her book with us about her stroke recovery journey. The book provides an amazing, in depth insight into Nora’s personal experiences, both the highs and the lows. We’ll keep ‘The Winter Sun’ in our waiting area, and encourage our clients, their carers, family or other visitors to check it out!

Being able to safely move from the floor to your wheelchair is a key skill for independence, especially after a fall or during daily activities. Practicing these transfers helps improve strength, coordination, and confidence so you know exactly what to do if you ever end up on the ground.

As part of our pledge to provide the best possible rehabilitation service to the Sutherland Shire and broader community, we are proud to share a MindmotionGo unit with the Rehabilitation Unit at Sutherland Hospital.

The MindmotionGo provides motion captured, gamified rehab to increase adherence and engagement, as well as tracking performance.

Alex and her team do a tremendous job providing inpatient and outpatient care to the community. We hope that this addition will further complement their services and enhance the experience of their patients.

🦶 What is Fesia Walk?

Fesia Walk is an advanced neurorehabilitation device that uses Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) to help people with foot drop walk more naturally.

A lightweight cuff with multi-field electrodes gently activates the muscles in the lower leg, while a smart foot sensor times the stimulation to each step — restoring smoother, safer movement.

✨ Why it matters:
✅ Improves walking pattern and gait symmetry
✅ Reduces fall risk
✅ Supports rehab after stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions

At Linz Allied Rehab, we’re passionate about bringing innovative solutions to neurological recovery. That’s why we’re proud to offer HAL technology — a groundbreaking advancement transforming the way people regain movement and independence.

🦿 What is HAL?
HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) is a robotic exoskeleton that detects tiny signals from your nervous system and assists your muscles to move. By working with your brain’s intentions, HAL helps retrain movement patterns and promotes neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to form new pathways.

✅ Improve mobility and muscle strength
✅ Enhance neuroplasticity and functional recovery
✅ Increase confidence and independence

HAL is ideal for clients with conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, and other neurological challenges. It’s high-tech therapy making real-life progress possible.

✨ Curious how HAL could support your rehab journey?
