A disruptor of blood supply to the brain, strokes can affect our muscles, speech, memory, hearing and vision. The best way to spot the signs of a stroke is through the FAST (face, arms, speech, time) method:

Check if your face has drooped, if you can lift both arms, if you are slurring speech or are struggling to be understood.

The earlier you can detect the signs of stroke, the better. If any of these signs start showing, call 000 immediately.
