Hey everyone 😎
It's that time of year again where we are getting close to the end of the year. On Wednesday 24th December at 2pm we will be closing for our annual two week closure period. So the next two weeks will be our last days open for regular business for the year 🚪
During the closure period there will no services as our hard working staff are taking a very much needed break 🤩
If you require a service during this time please contact Lashona prior to closing on the 24th.
If you have any concerns or general questions please give us a call on 4950 2087 during our open hours ☎️

The Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc in conjunction with the North Jacklin Motor Group have organised The Great Community Fundraiser for another year 🤩
North Jacklin Mackay has very generously donated the raffle prize at no cost to the community. The prize is a brand new 2025 Suzuki Swift Hybrid Plus Auto valued at $28,990 driveaway 🚘
All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets by each organisation will be returned to that organisation. Raffle tickets will be sold at $2.00 each ticket or $20.00 per book.
Tickets are now on sale😎

Awal Medical Centre is coming back to Carmila this year to conduct their annual Flu & COVID Vaccination Clinic.🩺It is being held here at the Broadsound Coastal Care building Friday, May 23rd.
🧬The COVID 19 Vaccine is free for everyone who holds a Medicare card.
🦠The Flu Vaccine is free all persons over 6 months of age who is a QLD resident.
You are not required to be a patient of Awal Medical Centre or a client of Broadsound Coastal Care to be able to receive your vaccination

The Mobile Women’s Health Service is coming back to Carmila and will be bringing a FREE and confidential women’s health services to our community once again. A Mackay Base Hospital nurse will be providing cervical screening tests (including self-screening tests) to women in our rural community👩‍⚕️
Many women skip their cervical screenings due to embarrassment or think that they are simply too old. Please know that this is very much not the case👎 The average age of cervical cancer being diagnosed is 50🤯
The Women's Health Service will be held here at the Broadsound Coastal Care building on Wednesday, 14th May 2025
To book an appointment you can scan the QR code in the photo below or call 4885 7200☎️
It would be great for our community to have as many people use this FREE service so it can continue in the future👩‍⚕️👍

Well, that's a wrap from us here at Broadsound Coastal Care 😎
As you can appreciate our staff have worked very hard throughout the year providing the services that you all need. For some of our staff this is the only time that they can have a break during the year, and it gives them the opportunity to have a little 'me' time. They have all earned a much-needed break to returned refreshed to you all in the New Year 😮‍💨
We have now closed our doors and the office will reopen January 6th, 2025, 8:30am
If you have a medical emergency, please dial 000 🚑
If you need to pass on a message to our staff regarding services in 2025, please call us on 4950 2087 and leave a message. We will return your call on the Monday 6th January when we reopen 🚪

A big thank you to Kim for coming down to today and having the Women's Health Clinic. For those that attended today we wish to thank you as well. You have not only made today possible but also have taken care of your health as well. Please spread the word of how easy your visit was today and how quick. I know from personal experience that those self-tests are fast and non-invasive.
