Yesterday to celebrate an Aussie Outback Theme Day, Lifeview chefs prepared the three delicious dishes you see here – Davidson Plum and Banana Cake, Lemon Myrtle and Macadamia Encrusted Barramundi with Saltbush Mash, and Roast Pumpkin and Bush Tomato Risotto. 😋

🥦🌿 We're seeking feedback and ideas from residents to find out what they want to grow in the Lifeview gardens. 🥕🥔

As part of our award-winning Planting with a Purpose program, residents work with Lifeview gardeners and chefs to grow and harvest produce, which is then used in Lifeview kitchens to prepare delicious and nutritious meals!

Planting with a Purpose watering cans have been placed in all Lifeview homes, gathering resident suggestions for what to grow. We'll share the results as they come to hand!

We were thrilled to be advised today that Lifeview has been shortlisted as finalists in two categories for this year’s prestigious Ageing Australia You Are ACE! awards.

Lifeview Emerald Glades is one of three national finalists for the Making a Difference Award, which celebrates organisations that showcase “significant community engagement and social impact, innovative programs addressing social issues, long-term sustainability of initiatives, and collaborative partnerships enhancing impact”.

Continuing with the Emerald Glades theme, John Fato was named one of five finalists for the national individual Consumer Focus & Care award. This category is for displaying “commitment to person-centred, personalised care, tangible improvements in care quality and resident satisfaction, strong relationships with residents and families, and advocacy for resident wellbeing and dignity”.

Winners will be announced on Aged Care Employee day (August 7) – a day dedicated to celebrating the dedication and impact of aged care professionals nationwide.
