Since 2012, the Pineapple Team have spent their days coaching females, providing specialised workouts and a space for the women of Newcastle to be their best selves, in a like minded community, smashing their fitness goals! The sessions vary from Strength & Conditioning, Boxing, HiiT, stretch, yoga, dancing, outdoors in the park and by the beach and in our beautiful boutique gym in Carrington. With a combined 25 years of training women, your coaches Brit & Shell (Pineapple Founders), Izzy (head coach), Rhoda & Donna provide a safe, vibrant, experienced training environment. We cater and care for women in all stages of their life, from teenagers, through to pre & post natal, peri & post menopausal and take great pride in the specialised service we offer. We are not traditional gyms that do not provide any structure, direction or support, we focus on our members as individuals, and provide the specific tools, support and accountability you need to achieve life changing results. We exist to create a strong community of women who inspire each other to live their best lives.

3 things we’re running away from in 2026 🏃‍♀️🍍�
1️⃣ Pilates instead of progressive strength training�Pilates has benefits. Absolutely. Mobility, control, awareness.�But let’s be clear. It is not a substitute for strength training.�When it comes to building muscle, bone density and long term resilience, it simply does not provide enough stimulus.�Enjoy Pilates if you love it. Include it if it supports you.�Just don’t let it take the place of progressive strength work.�If you have two hours a week to train, at least 90 mins should be lifting.�Bodyweight and lever based resistance have a low ceiling. Eventually the challenge stops changing your body.�
2️⃣ Working out instead of training�Sweating is not a training outcome.�Random exercises and chasing fatigue might feel productive, but feeling tired is not the same as getting stronger.�Training requires structure, intention and progression.�Muscle growth demands mechanical tension. Not vibes.�If your lifts are not progressing, neither is your physique.�You can work out five times a week and still make zero meaningful change.�
3️⃣ “I’m too old for that”�This one needs to die.�If you are a woman in your 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond and you are not strength training, you are opting out of your future capacity.�Muscle mass and bone density decline with age unless you actively fight for them.�Strength training is not extreme. It is essential.�Anyone can start at any age.�The stronger and more capable you get now, the more freedom you have today and later.�Frailty is not inevitable. It is optional.
