Mission, Vision and Objectives
Our MISSION is simple: to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances. The Casino Community Kitchen Inc (CCK) provides healthy and nutritious meals to all who come through our doors, and those that require our assistance, within our means. We are committed to improving the qu
ality of life and restoring the dignity of those we serve when providing a meal or supplying essential grocery items to any member of our community in need of this. We do so while acknowledging and paying our respects to the traditional owners of Country and to their Elders both past, present and emerging. Our VISION is to work towards the goal that no one goes hungry, that minimise food waste in our community, and to ensure no one is denied the opportunity or assistance to become self-sufficient. All of the Casino Community Kitchen’s volunteers and members are guided by our Vision, Mission and Objectives. We strive to ensure our service best fits the needs of people in our community, and honour our mission. We evaluate new and existing services against our vision and mission, and use our values to carry out this work. Our OBJECTIVES are to support people in need to live with dignity in the community. We seek to provide support to people in need, which includes those who are marginalised through such things as mental health issues, addictions, homelessness, poverty and sickness. We also seek to provide support to people in need because of social isolation, limited social skills, limited education, and in times of crisis. We do so without discrimination in any form, and in a non-denominational way. We seek to provide services to our clientele in a way that is respectful and honours the dignity of the individual and encourages growth and development. We seek to build community, celebrate the Casino and Richmond Valley community, promote access to services, participation in the wider community and engagement in meaningful and productive activities that align with our objectives.
