Hills Yoga has been offering yoga, meditation and kids yoga to the Hills community since 1999. We offer Hatha, Iyengar, Yin and Flow classes suitable for all levels of practice, from beginners to experienced students. The studio is conveniently located in the heart of Castle Hill and is fully equipped for the convenience of our students. Our teachers are highly qualified with years of teaching and practice. We recognise that we are all different and students are encouraged to work at their own level keeping their awareness inwards so as to develop inner connection. As students deepen their practice self- correction is encouraged in view of becoming in charge of ones own practice and developing self-mastery.

🔥This week is Core Practice to support recovery and alleviate any residual tension in the back from our Backbends practice last week. Apart from strengthening the abdominal muscles, core practice offers numerous physiological benefits. By increasing the digestive fire, stimulating the internal organs and increasing circulation, core practice supports the digestive system, enhancing digestion and elimination. It can also help in reducing visceral fat and improve detoxification.🙂

It’s back to backbends this week! A powerful way to counteract many of the physical patterns created by modern life — particularly tightness in the back, neck, and shoulders, and the tendency toward collapsed or forward posture.

Forwards this week - Join us for a calming and inward practice. Forward bends are a versatile category of yoga poses that can be practiced in various positions, such as standing, seated, inverted, and with an element of balance, like the Standing Split (Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana). These poses target different muscle groups and offer unique benefits and challenges, making them an essential part of a well-rounded yoga practice. Forward bends stretch the back of the legs and the spine, promoting a sense of calm, while twists improve spinal mobility, stretch the back muscles, and stimulate the digestive organs.

🌸 This Sunday | Mindful Movement & Sound Bath Meditation 🌸

A little reminder that we’re gathering this Sunday 8 March Hills Yoga , Castle Hill for our monthly Mindful Movement & Sound Bath session — and there are still a few spots available.

We’ll begin with gentle Tai Chi & Qigong to awaken energy and soften the body, then settle into a deeply restorative sound bath meditation to calm the mind and nourish the nervous system.

Held on International Women’s Day, this session is a beautiful opportunity to honour strength and stillness — whether you come for self-care or share the experience with someone special.

STRETCH CLASSES: Neck, shoulders, back, lower body - Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6.00pm

If you experience tightness, discomfort, or stiffness in these areas, these classes offer targeted solutions to help you release tension, create space, and move with ease.

Our specialised stretch classes use safe, therapeutic techniques drawn from yoga, stretch therapy and mindful movement. Stretching works best when applied progressively — continuity allows tissues to adapt safely, mobility to improve, and chronic tension to release more effectively, so weekly attendance is recommended.

A Dynamic Led Breath Class for experienced & Level 1 students.

A set sequence led with minimal instruction, allowing students to stay absorbed in breath, rhythm, and continuity. Postures are called clearly and concisely, supporting a steady, uninterrupted practice.

This class is for students who:
