About Nina Hakamies:
I was introduced to yoga and mindfulness in the early 1990s, and before long, it grew into a passion and a lifestyle that now guide everything I do.
I've been studying various styles of yoga and mindfulness, including assisting senior teachers in Australia and overseas since 1995. In addition to the classical style yoga classes, I offer mindfulness workshops and courses to workplaces for stress management and staff wellbeing. Some of my most recent clients include YogaHara, Bendigo Health, Coliban Water, ALDI and The University of Melbourne. I also run classes at the annual Bendigo Yoga Festival.
Most recently, I've been studying mindfulness with A/Professor Craig Hassed at Monash University, completing trainings such as the โMindfulness for Health Practitionersโ and the โTrain the Trainer in Mindfulnessโ course. Since 2009, I've been studying with the Knoff Yoga School and graduated as a foundation and intermediate level teacher, including the International Yoga Alliance. I've also completed the โGraduate Certificate, Yoga of Birth and Prenatal Yogaโ training with Anahata Giri.
