We are excited to move into a new chapter for the Castlemaine community. n8 Health Castlemaine is now Zeal Chiropractic.

Whilst you can expect the same team, care and professionalism, we have been working hard behind the scenes and hope you enjoy the feel and brand, with new comfy chairs, warm lighting, and even the kids chiro table.

Just like with all healing, if you're on a journey to spinal wellness and improving your overall health it can feel a little like a rollercoaster ride to begin with. 🎒

In the initial stages, it's common for the spine to transition between correct alignment and misalignment, often reverting to its familiar, misaligned state.

With attentive care and weekly adjustments spanning 1-3 months, our Chiropractors work towards establishing a stable alignment, similar to the gradual alignment process of braces for teeth.

As your body gets used to its newfound alignment, we suggest keeping the good times rolling with regular spinal check-ups every 3-4 weeks to maintain your progress.

Curious about how Guy and Mitch pinpoint spinal misalignments? πŸ€” Before diving into adjustments, they look for various factors to ensure they're adjusting the areas that need it most:

πŸ” They firstly check to see if there are any visible deviations in the spine.

πŸ“ Checks the angle of sacroiliac joints (hip joints).

🦡 Assesses leg length for potential discrepancies - often if a hip is misaligned the leg will appear shorter/longer on one side.
πŸ– Palpate for individual vertebra protrusions.

πŸŒ€ Test for spine springiness - a misaligned vertebra will often have a blocked or dull spring to it.

πŸ’ͺ Occasionally evaluate muscle strength to determine whether that misalignment is interfering with a nerve.
