Dr Rishi Shonpal is a compassionate and highly experienced General Practitioner with 14 years of medical practice across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. With a unique background as a former monk, Dr Shonpal adopts a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of his patients.

Dr Shonpal covers all aspects of General Practice, with special expertise in workers' compensation and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) motor accident injury claims. Dr Nathan Williams is an approachable, professional and committed general practitioner, who is thorough and patient when addressing all aspects of your medical needs. His areas of interest include chronic disease management, skin checks and skin cancer management, children and men’s health and general medicine. Dr Williams has a holistic approach to managing your healthcare, and he is passionate about positive, healthy lifestyle promotion and preventative care. He also has an interest in the responsible prescription of medical cannabis.

Before studying medicine, Dr Williams worked as a physiotherapist for 10 years, so he is also very well equipped to assist with any of your musculoskeletal complaints. Having grown up in rural Queensland, he is also passionate about rural medicine, and also works in the Emergency Department in a small rural community in New South Wales. Dr Williams is currently accepting new patients.

Casuarina Health & Medical welcomes Dr Devon Butler to the team, consulting Wednesdays & Thursdays from 10th August.

Originally from Canada, Dr Devon Butler obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
She completed her internship in Townsville and Mount Isa and then moved to the Gold Coast for additional training as a resident medical officer in various surgical and medical specialties at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
Prior to her decision to pursue medicine, Dr Butler completed a Kinesiology degree (Bachelor of Science) from the University of Calgary.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and time outdoors.
Dr Butler is a private billing GP.

Dr du Toit graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016. He also worked as a GP at an Aboriginal Health Service in Coffs Harbour, prior to this he worked in Gold Coast Hospital emergency and in several rural areas of North Queensland. He enjoys all areas of general practice, but has a particular interest in diabetes, chronic disease and sports medicine. When he's not working you can find him playing ice hockey or spending time with his young family.

Commencing Monday 6th March, consulting Monday to Friday.

Dr Hainbach is originally from Ireland. He completed his medical degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2015. He subsequently worked in England, Perth and Victoria before moving to Bundaberg to complete his GP training, gaining fellowship of the RACGP in 2023.

He enjoys the variety that General Practice offers and spending time getting to know his patients. His particular interests include chronic disease management, preventative healthcare, mental health, Indigenous health and skin cancer medicine.

Outside of medicine, Matthew enjoys swimming, nature walks and spending time with family.
