Here are 3 tips to help that weight loss goal stick!
• Sustainable solutions make dietary changes a breeze. Don’t fall into the guilt trap
• Emotional eating can very easily become comforting but our brain looks for salt and sugar in these instances. These often aren’t the best options and so it’s important to put other coping mechanisms into your self-help box
• Give yourself the permission to snack and of course, ensure these are balanced snacks

Exhausting yourself to lose that stubborn weight but does everyone have something to say about YOUR weight and body appearance? Hope they would understand your struggles one day... ⁣

Trust me, you can lose weight with PCOS naturally. Hormone pills and metformin are not the solution. ⁣

I'm Meyya, an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Melbourne, Australia and the face behind Nutrition Revitalised. ⁣

Nutrition Revitalised is a passion project that is all about nurturing you with evidence-based nutrition, unravelling myths and empowering you to take charge of your health! 💫 I've built beautiful friendships, made a difference to the lives of people halfway across the world and I look forward to building a bigger community here 👥⁣⁣⁣

"I'm trying to eat as little as I can but I still can't lose weight!!" 😵⁣
Have you been on this frustrating ride?Well cutting out foods or snacks isn't the way to go. Yes, portion control is important but let's not take that out of context. You still need to meet your nutrient requirements (that's vitamins and minerals as well, not just macros). ⁣

So, SNACK SMARTER!🤩⁣
Cookies, biscuits and crackers can be empty calories (i.e. just calories and no nutritional benefit) but we can pair that with something else like cheese, fruits, nuts, hummus, peanut butter etc. to make it nutritious while also satisfying our cravings. This way, you won't overreat those calorie-dense foods; instead, you'd balance it out! 😊⁣

All foods can fit in a healthy diet. I know I have cookies and ice-cream for dessert, but it's not just that! 😉

Sick and tired of "diets"? 😪⁣
Have you thought about what is it about what you're doing that isn't working out for you? ⁣

Take it easy on yourself! We're human and we all have moods, cravings and wants. Don't restrict yourself and be rigid with your diet and exercise routine at the expense of your mental health. ⁣

Realise that:⁣
💡 It's not about what you do in a single day or a single food you eat. Focus on the big picture - what you do most of the time⁣
💡 Ditch the all-or-nothing approach to health⁣
💡 Pay attention to your hunger, fullness, mood and internal cues to guide your actions⁣

I am not a fan of creating meal plans and restricting foods. I advise against these unless absolutely necessary. Instead, I help my clients find a balance between what they enjoy and what can improve the quality of their diet and lifestyle.⁣

Frustrated about your periods? Feel like you've got NO IDEA what's going on and it's really random? 🤯😟⁣

Well, good on you for recognising this! There may be multiple explanations for this and that all depends on what's going on in YOUR body. It could be any of these six or multiple factors or something beyond this! 🤔⁣

No website or no amount of browsing is going to get you to that answer. What you really need is a team of health professionals (e.g. gynaecologist, dietitian, pharmacist etc.) and blood tests to help you recover a normal menstrual cycle. 👩‍⚕️🍽⁣

Periods are a vital sign of your hormonal health, don't neglect it! Seek the help you deserve 🙂 Send me a DM if this is what you're going through 😌
