NSW Health Pathology Collection Centre Operates from
8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
There are ample Car parks, Ramp & Accessible (Disabled access ) Toilet available on site for all patients.
All pathology services are Bulk Billed for all Medicare Cardholders & no booking is required

Dr Gias Ahmed is a Specialist Urology Surgeon, working in the area for over 10 years.He is a VMO at several Private and Public Hospitals in the Maitland/Newcastle areas.His qualifications are MBBS - Bachelor of medicine and surgery, FCUrol (SA) - College of Medicine of South Africa, FRACS (Urol) - Royal Australian College of Surgeons.He specialises in adult minimally invasive stone surgery and prostatic surgery as well as both oncological and non-oncological urology.He is based in East Maitland and his interests also include lower urinary tract problems and incontinence

Diabetes Educator Services:
Annabel is passionate about diabetes and her goal is to make each person she sees, feel a little better about managing their diabetes on a day to day basis.
She runs diabetes clinics at West Cessnock Medical Centre on a regular basis.

Annabel holds a myriad of qualifications including a Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner), registered as A Diabetes Nurse Practitioner, Credentialed Diabetes Educator and Certified Pump and CGM Trainer. Her key "claim to fame" however is her 30 plus years of experience, specialising in diabetes and her immense knowledge, ability and enthusiasm for all things diabetes.

Working as Action Diabetes, Annabel brings her skills to clinics at 17 different locations around the Hunter and coast. She is focussed entirely innovative and complete management of diabetes. This includes lifestyle modification, prescription and use of appropriate medicines, insulin pumps and Continuous Monitors (CGM's)

Annabel is also involved in upskilling healthcare professionals in the management of people with diabetes. She is frequently invited to participate on advisory panels particularly in relation to new products and medications. She has been a finalist at an International Diabetes Conference and a National Diabetes Conference where she presented a poster presentation and on both occasions was awarded 1st place.

General Surgery Service:
Dr Clifton Washaya is an Australian trained and consultant General Surgeon with broad and extensive experience in General Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr Washaya has undergone training overseas and locally with certification by the custodian of Specialist Surgical training in Australasia, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).

Clifton has been working as a consultant surgeon in the Hunter Valley since 2006 with both public and private hospital appointments at specialist/consultant level.
