A lot of people are shocked or scared when they hear the word 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘴, but here’s something reassuring: 𝐎𝐀 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬.

If you have OA, remember:
🎉 You’re not broken.
💪 Your joints are adaptable.
✨ And there’s a lot you can do to stay strong, mobile, and active.

Lower-back pain is one of the most common medical problems worldwide, and it can come from many different sources.

• Muscle strain or ligament sprain
• Disc problems like herniations or degeneration

• osteoarthritis (or inflammatory arthritis - RA, AS etc)
• Radiculopathy - nerve compression
• Radicular pain - irritated nerve
• Spinal stenosis, which narrows the spinal canal
• Osteoporotic fractures
• Medical conditions such as kidney stones
• Spinal infection
• Some cancers

Lower-back pain isn’t just “one thing”—it’s a complex issue that can come from the spine, nerves, muscles, or even internal organs. If your pain is persistent, severe, or unusual, it’s always worth discussing it with a healthcare professional.
