Just a few highlights from our Heartworks Lomi Lomi Level 1 Massage training last weekend.

At the end, everyone agreed… this is so much more than just learning massage.

It’s learning to connect with the heart.
To give with presence and love.
To move and flow together as ‘Ohana’ - as family.

There was laughter, depth, connection, vulnerability, courage, and so much Aloha woven through the space.

Thank you to each beautiful soul who said yes to this journey. We know you will go out into the world and ripple that Aloha into every life you touch.

🌺 This was our last beautiful cohort of students.

And tomorrow, we begin again, embarking on a new 3-day Heartworks Lomi Lomi Massage Retreat with eight new souls ready to step into this sacred work.

I deeply honour those who choose to walk this path. To honour the lineage. To embody the teachings. To carry Aloha in their hearts and hands and ripple it out into the world.

This is more than learning a massage sequence, it is love in action. It is a way of being that for some, can be life-changing.

It always surprises me the number and variety of ways that Lomi Lomi and Ka Huna affect people. Some people come to us mainly for the physical benefits (pain relief, relaxation, contact, ...), some people come for the emotional and energetic release, some people come for it's healing qualities and to address trauma, and some people come for the spiritual journey a session provides. I'm sure there are numerous other reasons (such as the obvious human connection and feeling touch, held and nurtured).
My question is: what is/are the main reason(s) why you get a massage?
