We were incredibly proud to be part of this early IWD event that saw over $67,000 raised for Jenny's Place Domestic Violence & Homelessness Support.

At a time when it feels like the rights and safety of women are under threat it is so good to be able to come together with like-minded people to support vulnerable women and children in such a tangible way.

Thank you to Kris and the team from for organising this amazing event again in 2026.

And thank you also to Jelena Dokic for sharing her experience of thriving after surviving abuse.

There is such power in women coming together!

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A VECTRA 3D SURGERY SIMULATION?

Can I see real implants on the day? What is the wait time for an appointment? Does it work for implant revision, reductions and lifts? Wondering how to best support your scars after plastic surgery?⁣

1. KEEP DRESSINGS & GARMENTS IN PLACE: Surgical dressings protect the wound while the body’s healing process takes place. Your compression garment places pressure on the incisions which can help to reduce visible scars.⁣

2. PRIORITISE REST: While it is important to have some movement after surgery (such as getting to the bathroom once cleared by the nurses), excessive activity can place excessive tension, stretch or strain on the wound, leading to suboptimal healing.⁣

3. LIMIT SUN EXPOSURE: Sun exposure increases the risk of hyperpigmentation and thickening of the scar. Protecting your scars from harmful UV light, particularly in the first 3-6 months after surgery is crucial.⁣

4. MASSAGE, TAPE, MOISTURISE: A consistent scar management regime will assist in the production of new collagen and help to create a stronger, smoother scar long-term.⁣

3cm muscle separation repaired as part of an abdominoplasty by Dr Moncrieff. Watch until the end to view her results from all angles ▶️⁣

Dr Moncrieff performed an abdominoplasty (also known as a tummy tuck) using surgical and liposuction techniques to repair a hernia and 3cm abdominal muscle separation post-pregnancy, remove excess skin and create a new navel.⁣

WHY MUSCLE REPAIR?⁣
Dr Moncrieff finds that most women experience some degree of muscle separation after birth due to the expansion of the abdominal wall to accommodate for a growing baby. For some women, the muscles will come back together over time, but for others unfortunately they do not. Incorporating muscle repair into a tummy tuck procedure can alleviate many of the chronic symptoms that come with muscle separation, including incontinence, lower back and abdominal pain, postural issues, pelvic floor dysfunction and more.⁣

COST⁣
The out-of-pocket cost for this procedure starts at $23,500 (total costs for an insured patient including our Plastic Surgeon, hospital, anaesthetist, garment, post-operative visits, LED Healite treatment for scars, etc).⁣

HOW DOES THE 3D VECTRA SIMULATION WORK?
We take a 3D image of you in a private room using a special 3D camera that works from different angles. Then, we use computer software to create life-like models of how your “new” breasts could actually look on you.

Please note the Vectra Simulation is not perfect for all breast reductions and unfortunately cannot simulate tummy tucks. However, many patients still appreciate this service as it is an opportunity to discuss costs, rebates, recovery and to fast track your consultation with Dr Moncrieff.
