Post-pregnancy muscle separation repaired as part of an abdominoplasty by Dr Moncrieff. Watch until the end to view her results from all angles ▶️⁣

Dr Moncrieff performed an abdominoplasty (also known as a tummy tuck) using surgical and liposuction techniques to repair a significant 3.2cm abdominal muscle separation post-pregnancy, create a new navel and add contour to this patient’s waist.⁣

WHY MUSCLE REPAIR?⁣
Dr Moncrieff finds that most women experience some degree of muscle separation after birth due to the expansion of the abdominal wall to accommodate for a growing baby. For some women, the muscles will come back together over time, but for others unfortunately they do not. Incorporating muscle repair into a tummy tuck procedure can alleviate many of the chronic symptoms that come with muscle separation, including incontinence, lower back and abdominal pain, postural issues, pelvic floor dysfunction and more.⁣

COST⁣
The out-of-pocket cost for this procedure starts at $22,500 (total costs for an insured patient including our Plastic Surgeon, hospital, anaesthetist, garment, post-operative visits, LED Healite treatment for scars, etc).⁣

Dr Moncrieff performed a breast uplift and ar**la reshaping to address asymmetry and ptosis. It is important to remember that all breast lifts do involve a small overall reduction (of mostly skin!) In this case, 118g was removed from the left breast, and 106g from the right breast. This patient is pictured 5 months post-surgery.

HOW DOES THE 3D VECTRA SIMULATION WORK?
We take a 3D image of you in a private room using a special 3D camera that works from different angles. Then, we use computer software to create life-like models of how your “new” breasts could actually look on you.

Please note the Vectra Simulation is not perfect for all breast reductions and unfortunately cannot simulate tummy tucks. However, many patients still appreciate this service as it is an opportunity to discuss costs, rebates, recovery and to fast track your consultation with Dr Moncrieff.

What is the “Drop and Fluff” process after breast augmentation?

In the first days after surgery, implants often sit high, firm, and slightly flat at the bottom. This is due to swelling and your chest muscles holding them in place. We call this the “Frankenboob” stage!

Over the next weeks and months, several things happen:

◼️ The “Drop” – The implants gradually settle lower on the chest as swelling reduces and muscles relax.
◼️ The “Fluff” – The tissue around the implants softens, allowing them to take on a rounder, fuller and more natural-looking shape.

In the first 6 weeks after surgery, it is completely normal to see some big changes. By week 12, most patients will begin to see their new shape. Smaller changes will occur until around 6 months post-op, where most patients will then see their final result.

Remember, breast augmentation recovery is a marathon, not a sprint! It is important to trust the process and allow your body time to heal.

Combined abdominoplasty and breast reduction post pregnancy and 35kg weight loss. See the comments section below to view her results from all angles ⬇️

Dr Moncrieff performed a breast reduction, uplift and ar**la reshaping to reduce the volume of this patient’s chest and maximise her torso length. He also performed an abdominoplasty (also known as a tummy tuck) to remove excess skin and repair severe abdominal muscle separation measuring over 4cm. This patient is pictured here 7.5 months post-surgery.

$100 VECTRA SIMULATION
To start exploring your options, you may like to book a $100 Vectra 3D surgery simulation with our Practice Manager. During this appointment you will be able to see what a breast augmentation, lift or reduction could look like on your own body. While it does not simulate tummy tucks and some larger reductions or lifts, many of our patients have still appreciated being able to see how the breast component of their transformation may appear and discuss possible Medicare rebates, health fund assistance and see similar patient results. For more information, visit our website.

COST
The out-of-pocket cost for this procedure starts at $42,200 (total costs for an insured patient including our Plastic Surgeon, hospital, anaesthetist, garments, post-operative visits, LED light therapy for scar minimisation, etc).

Dr Moncrieff performed a small uplift and ar**la reshaping to address asymmetry and ptosis post breastfeeding. This patient is pictured 9 months post-surgery.

Following a breast lift, some patients may choose to undergo a second-stage breast augmentation to achieve more upper pole volume and fullness. However, we find that many breast lift patients are just as happy with their new, lifted shape.
