The new moon is coming up this week, Thursday for us Aussies and NZers and Wednesday for the rest of the world.

The new moon is the time for manifesting, so right NOW is the perfect time to release and let go so you are ready and starting with a nice clean slate for your new moon manifesting magic xx

Today or tomorrow take some time to sit and feel. Write down any emotions, feelings, thought or worries that you would like to let go of, or that you feel is blocking your manifestations.

Take your paper, and either burn it (safely) or rip it into little pieces and dispose of in an outside bin (You don't want to keep the energy inside the house with you)
Allow yourself to feel the negative energy leaving you as you dispose of it.

Then take a nice shower to cleanse yourself so you are all ready for manifesting good and positive energy into your life when the new moon arrives!

In a plethora of aspects this week, the mid-week clash between MARS, newly moved into the first degree of Aquarius, and URANUS, newly moved into the first degree of Ta**us, is most definitely a biggie – particularly given not only the Ta**us New Moon which is very active through this square, but that there’s a swapping of roles. Because this time last week, Mars ruled Uranus (in Aries). This week, Uranus rules Mars (in Aquarius). You’d almost think the tables had turned …

what’s HOT … well, apart from the week’s feature aspect, which is really a triple play, VENUS also makes a big – and comfortable – move this week, into Cancer. Which, given Cancer is a sign sextile to Ta**us, can only mean one thing. Yes, a VENUS/URANUS Zaperoo S*xtile – with a difference. Because Uranus is, of course, ruled by Venus now. And with the Moon in Cancer for this interaction – so lending that home-ground advantage to Venus - well, it’s getting oh so interesting in the Cosmic Kitchen, isn’t it?

what’s NOT … I’m going to stick my neck out and say nothing to see here, transit wise. Yes, even with that Mars/Uranus square in play. It’s far too early to really see how this Uranus in Ta**us transit will play out – but kicking things off from the Great Activator of the Zodiac – yes, even by square – is some way to make an entrance.

What a week it’s been.

This week saw the massive energy that is a MARS/PLUTO conjunction exact – and while that energy is now dissipating, it’s coming back on the radar, albeit in slightly different form – more ‘illuminatory’ if you will – courtesy of the Scorpio Full Moon which is, of course, ruled by both Mars (traditional) and Pluto (modern). So they are, in ways, ‘engaged’ again. And as I’ve come to realise with cosmic energy, very little happens randomly or independently. So when synchronicity like this crops up – you pay attention.

Particularly when that synchronicity extends to involve another element of Capricorn (the playground for the Mars/Pluto conjunction earlier this week) with Capricorn’s ruler Saturn actively involved in this Full Moon by sextile, within degree.

Synchronicity. That seemingly random sequence of events that somehow tie together. In some ways, such a Scorpio thing, synchronicity – behind the scenes, bit of magic, bit of the unknown.

Scorpio is a very deep, very secret energy, and it often involves a part of our lives that we keep private or keep hidden. Possibly both. It’s the area of life where magic happens – and it’s also the area with the big Keep Out Sign, with no problems about getting to the Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted bit.

The thing is though, that when the big, beaming and illuminating light of the Full Moon comes along, there is often nowhere to hide. Particularly when Saturn, the Master of Lessons and Reality, is involved. Nowhere. To. Run. Nowhere. To. Hide.

Particularly if you have a planet/point 08-12deg of Scorpio, the other Fixed Signs – Ta**us, Leo & Aquarius – the other Water Signs – Cancer & Pisces – or Signs sextile – Virgo & Capricorn – there’s a very deep, very personal – and probably very secret, private or behind-the-scenes theme being pushed right now – and if we start joining the dots back to the week’s earlier Mars/Pluto conjunction, we might understand that realizing and owning this theme could be massively transformational. Or at the very least, relieving.

Something has reached a head – and it needs attending to. When we also factor in the Nodal Connection – the Nodes are pretty much exactly square to this lunation – we might realise the cross-roads we’re really at. A cross-roads that needs recognition – probably from a deep, emotional perspective – for resolution. And for the major transformation that is on offer, courtesy of the synchronicity in play.

It’s not necessarily easy energy to understand or work with, big Scorpio energy – but it definitely holds a key. Question is, are you ready to unlock - and are you ready to walk through?

Interestingly, as I come to finish writing this piece, a massive storm breaking overhead seems perfectly in … synchronicity. Perfectly.

THE COSMIC WEEK AHEAD – 02-08 April

THIS WEEK IS ALL ABOUT …
Mars. Saturn. Mars and Saturn. Just 5 major aspects this week and 4 of them feature Mars or Saturn – with one of them involving both. The good news is that both of these planets are in very strong shape in Capricorn – Saturn is Capricorn’s ruler, and Mars is exalted here. So the week will hold themes around Ambitions, Achievements, Authorities. The uncomfortable news? A couple of tough squares – which will have reverberations towards the end of the month and through to mid-May – involving Retrograding Mercury. A good reminder to mind Ps and Qs.

THIS WEEK’S FEATURE ASPECT … hands down, this week (and probably last week in the build-up) belongs to the MARS/SATURN conjunction at 08deg57 Capricorn. It happens very very early Tuesday morning in Oz and NZ, which translates into through Monday for everywhere else. We discussed it in the Libra Full Moon piece, this mighty meeting of the “malefics” – this is Hard Yakka Energy. Real nose-to-the-grindstone stuff – that can, and often does, move mountains. Used productively = strength & drive – a more difficult manifestation = lead feet, brick walls and the potential for mean, ugly outbursts. Watch your energy levels through this transit – if you are a Mars type in particular, pre-Libra Full Moon may have seen energy levels dropping through the floor, hopefully as this aspect exacts, motivation and drive return.

what’s HOT … a nice, fiery trine between the SUN in Aries and the NORTH NODE in Leo – given it comes within hours of the Mars/Saturn conjunction, future-pointing opportunities are highlighted, particularly if they are something you have been striving toward. Of course any aspect involving the North Node means the SOUTH NODE is involved too – the Sun’s sextile to the South Node in Aquarius suggests a different approach to make the most of the overall aspects.

what’s NOT … as mentioned earlier, Retrograding MERCURY will make successive squares to first MARS and then SATURN mid-week. With Mercury traveling backwards and in more ‘contemplative’ mode, it would bode well to contemplate your communications in general and your words in particular through this period – because any angry or impulsive or petulant words (square Mars) are likely to have consequences, potentially big ones, 24 hours later (square Saturn). And as mentioned earlier, with these squares back on the table end-April through mid-May when Mercury is Direct, well, repercussions are possible. Biting one’s tongue (hopefully not literally) or holding that email in draft mode may be necessary.

Mercury retrograde in Aries until April 15th. This is a much needed retrograde which will help us integrate all the mental changes we have made over the last three months. Time to go back and make sure you haven't missed something and that you are truly headed towards your dreams. This is likely to be an intense retrograde period that will ultimately help you break free of the past. Spending time alone to contemplate will help you find the clarity you seek.

THE COSMIC WEEK AHEAD – 26-February to 04-March 2018

THIS WEEK IS ALL ABOUT …
MERCURY. Which, given his recent involvement in the Aquarius Solar Eclipse, is not overly surprising. This week, Mercury is involved in 3 major aspects in a week which contains 7 – so almost 50%. And as a result, Thought Processes, Discussions (particularly around Hopes & Dreams) and Perspectives are all on the table. Or, in this case, in Fluid Motion. Once again heads up Geminis and Virgos – this is all part of the process for you, in particular.

THIS WEEK’S FEATURE ASPECT … VENUS trine JUPITER. So last week it was Venus canoodling directly with one of her current rulers – this week she blows kisses to her other current ruler (traditionally), Jupiter sitting in Scorpio. With a side note that Jupiter has now hit his Station Retrograde Degree (Jupiter Rx 09 March). Which makes this trine that little bit more special, given Jupiter’s condition. This is one of those ooh-la-la aspects but with a bit of a difference. After all, Jupiter is in Scorpio. So you shouldn’t be surprised at what might be revealed under the influence of this aspect, particularly regarding Heart Matters.

what’s HOT … the SUN/SATURN sextile that kicks off the week. Wait, I’m including Saturn in a “what’s hot” moment? Yes, I am. Because in just over a week, the Sun moves up to conjunct Neptune. And given we’re still in Eclipse Mode and given that Saturn is the traditional ruler of the recent Solar Eclipse, well, any type of commitment made under this energy, particularly if you have planets in the vicinity of 07deg of the Earth and Water Signs, could reap some long wished for benefits when the Sun kisses Neptune next week.

what’s NOT … honestly, it should be a pretty breezy week. Which, given recent events, is most welcome. Only blip on the radar is a quick MERCURY/MARS square mid-week – Mercury is in poorer form in Pisces while Mars is super-hot, so mind words don’t get you into hot water. Or Passive-Aggressive Territory.

And perhaps this is what this whole trip has been about. Coming back to a part of the world that really captured a piece of me with its red dirt and Samburu people. Seems like some wonderful energy to be returning under – particularly with the dreamy Pisces overload & the upcoming Sun/Neptune conjunction – to me 😍

And so it begins.

OK, so it's been "beginning" for a while now - but we're now at the pointy end with our Aquarius Solar Eclipse just over 48 hours away - and if you're in its sights, you know it.

But before we get there ... Mercury is being stretched, and some surprises are already landing.

Mercury/Jupiter square. Thinking Big - but too Big? Thinking Genius - but too "out there"? *Is It Really Possible?* All of these themes are possibilities under this aspect, as are conversations and discussions that could get out of hand, push boundaries and go far beyond where they start.

But there's something else going on here too. Because Mercury is an integral part of the Solar Eclipse energy later this week - and this Jupiter aspect which pre-empts it - is dropping clues. Something with a "foreign flavour" could also be revealing.

And then there's the SUN/URANUS sextile - which is all about surprises. Surprises that might catch you off guard - but leave you smiling. Something different, something unexpected - and something with a "different flavour" that really speaks to Core You.

And again - it's all part and parcel of this upcoming Eclipse. Because if Mercury is one Factor, Uranus is the other.

And with the Moon now in Aquarius, well, she's really winding things down in Balsamic Phase - to wind things up in New.

And so Venus, she of all things Relationship, Love, Desire and Money, moves into Pisces. Le. Sigh.

Venus loves being in Pisces, not just because of the dreamy, fluid vibe of our 12th sign, but because this space is also the sign of her Exaltation. It's like when the King invites his best buddy over for a weekend (or a few weeks) - you know life is going to be pretty good.

So yes, it's all about the *feels* through this dreamy transit - make sure you're feeling through your centre and tuning into your intuition because it will be particularly strong regards heart, desire and relationship matters through this transit. To be honest, I felt the change in vibe pretty much immediately earlier today and I'm loving it!!

The danger of Venus in Pisces is not seeing things as they truly are, the beauty of Venus in Pisces is seeing things in the same manner - hence this transit being associated with Rose-Coloured Glasses. So if it's Romance, Fairy Tales & Hopes & Wishes you're wanting, this is the transit for you - and conversely, if you've been trying to make some hard and fast decisions on Venusian fronts, all the best!

The highlight of her stay will be a sweet conjunction between her-Royal-self and King Neptune in the middle of Pisces 21/22 Feb, closely followed by the watery trine between her-Royal-self and the other ruler of Pisces, Jupiter, on 01-March. Le Sigh, Le Sigh.

The Space Between. Yes, we’re in that period between Eclipses, Sparklers – last week was our Lunar Eclipse in Leo, next week is our Solar Eclipse in Aquarius and this week, we’re in that peculiar period which can feel both exhilarating and off-kilter in the same breath. And, as if to acknowledge it, just 4 major aspects this week. We really are being given time to focus on and consider these Eclipses, aren’t we?

ALSO FEATURING THIS WEEK … VENUS moves into PISCES. It feels like just yesterday she was in Capricorn, let alone Aquarius (she did, after all, start the year in the first decan of Capricorn) – yet here she is, our Planet of Love, Money and Desire moving into our 12th Sign and incidentally, the Sign of her Exaltation. Firstly, a timely reminder that all of our Planets are currently Direct. This will all change in early March – in 4.5 weeks to be precise – when Jupiter turns retrograde in Scorpio and signals the tide-turn. We really are in an auspicious period right now, both between Eclipses and with all Planets Direct. Trust you are feeling it. Better still, using it.

And also another apology – last week I was apologizing on behalf of Mars, this week it’s on behalf of Mercury, specifically MERCURY moving into AQUARIUS. Is it me or has the world sped up?? Anyhoo, Mercury moved into his personal Light Bulb Moment Domain right after – 8 minutes after – our Lunar Eclipse last week – and the synapses are firing. Mercury in Aquarius has neither limits nor specifics when it comes to all things Thought & Communication – anything goes. Classic placement for genius, eureka and all sorts of other brain storms and a great placement for considering alternative perspectives. Mercury will remain in Aquarius through to 18-February, and it’s the latter half of the stay that is likely to go particularly off. Like a fire cracker. Hopefully not literally!!
