Last night is one for the memory bank, Bodyfix winning Small Business of the Year and then followed by the Business of the Year at the Charters Towers Regional Council Business Excellence Awards is something that still feels very surreal โ and there are so many people I need to thank for being part of the journey.
Firstly, thank you to all of the sponsors who support these awards and invest back into regional business. Events like this simply would not happen without your contribution and commitment to our community.
A huge thank you also to Charters Towers Regional Council for hosting an event that recognises and celebrates local businesses. Running a business in regional Queensland comes with its challenges, so having an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, resilience, and innovation within our community is incredibly special.
To the entire BodyFix team, past and present, thank you. Over the last 18 years, we have always seemed to have the right people come into the business at exactly the right time for each stage of growth, project, and expansion. Every single person who has been part of BodyFix has contributed to shaping the business into what it is today.
And to our current team, I honestly could not think of a better group of humans to celebrate this award with. Your care for our clients, support of one another, and commitment to what we do every day is what makes BodyFix special.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the people behind the scenes who rarely get seen but make all of this possible. To my parents, Barry and Robyn, thank you for being our biggest village and support crew, especially with school pickups, drop-offs, and everything in between. And to my husband Matthew and our little boys, thank you for supporting me every step of the way and allowing me to pursue my business goals and career ambitions at this stage of life.
This award may have our business name on it, but it truly belongs to a whole community of people behind us.
Thank you all so much.
