Residents from Scalabrini Austral and Scalabrini Chipping Norton came together for a special inter-village tournament, thoughtfully organised by the wonderful Wellbeing Coordinators, Annette & Rhonda, from both communities. From the first whistle to the final cheer, the court was filled with laughter, encouragement, and that unmistakable Scalabrini spirit of community.

Events like these are about so much more than the score. They’re a joyful way to stay active, keep our minds sharp, and enjoy the social connection that helps older adults feel energised, supported, and truly part of something meaningful. Movement, mateship, and a little healthy rivalry? That’s wellbeing at its best. 🙌

Proud moment for our community!
As featured on 7NEWS Sydney, our One Meal Program at Scalabrini Allambie Heights is shining a light on what happens when purpose and connection come together.

Led by our wonderful Wellbeing Coordinator, Alessandra Salso, this monthly in-house cook-up brings together around a dozen residents who love rolling up their sleeves to support One Meal - Northern Beaches Co-Op mission: helping provide hot meals for locals doing it tough.

For nearly three years, this collaboration has been a true win-win:
🥣 our residents connect, create and contribute in a meaningful way
🤝 and vulnerable community members receive a warm, delicious meal and support.

A big thank you to One Meal - Northern Beaches for the partnership and for making it possible to give back together.

The festive celebrations continued at Scalabrini’s residential care sites and Scalabrini Austral truly shone. 🎄

Residents, families and members of the wider community came together for a heart warming evening filled with music, performances, and meaningful moments of connection.

We were delighted to welcome an incredible line-up of local performers and supporters:
- Children from Annabelle Child Care Centre with a special performance in Italian,
- The Stage Door Performing Arts students bringing the energy with dance (from preschool to school-aged performers),
- Christ the Good Shepherd Church children’s choir filling the arena with festive carols and sharing small gifts with residents,
- Inspire Church youth group lending a hand with the BBQ and food service,
- The OZFIL Dancers, a vibrant group of senior performers.

A special thank you to Nathan Hagarty MP, Member for Leppington, for joining us to celebrate the season and the strong community spirit that makes Scalabrini feel like home. 🌟

Last Friday, we came together at our Harbourside site for finale to celebrate our Head Office and Sydney Village Leadership Teams at our Christmas Party for a successful year. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical. 🎄

We shared meaningful conversations, Christmas photos, delicious food and desserts with refreshing drinks. And to top it all off, our CEO dressed up as secret Santa along with CFO and Former-Director of Property as Elves who absolutely blew us away. 🎅

A big thank you to the wonderful PLC team at Scalabrini for helping create such a special experience for everyone.
