Congratulations to our young brilliant doctors on publishing this latest article titled “The Impact of Overseas Cosmetic Tourism on the Australian Public Hospital System.”

This article highlights the major complications encountered in a large tertiary hospital (Westmead Hospital). While cosmetic tourism has grown increasingly popular in the post-COVID era, it is important to remember that complications can occur regardless of how well an operation is performed. This work provides valuable insight into the downstream impact on our public healthcare system and reinforces the importance of patient awareness and safety.
