More than a showroom, the Guy Salmon Jaguar Land Rover ‘Statement Site’ in Sunbury is an architectural destination and feast for the senses!

Located on the border of Surrey and Greater London, only a few miles from London Heathrow, the new site stands 5 floors high and spreads over a substantial 17,000sqm footprint. The building has been designed and built to create an ultra efficient environment; excellent insulation, wastewater recycling and extensive EV charging points are key features.

The centrepiece to the design led property is a Living Wall that stands at 60sq metres, giving customers a glimpse of Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to its ‘Destination Zero’ strategy for a cleaner, safer and sustainable future. Installed by Scotscape Group and made by Terapia Urbana - Diseño de jardines verticales, this living wall system is available exclusively in Australia, by Citygreen.

Green space and student’s academic outcomes explored in new study.

A team of urban horticulturists, ecologists and psychological scientists have been assembled through a new initiative to show why green spaces in primary schools could help Aussie kids flourish in a myriad of ways.

Delivered through Hort Innovation and led by The University of Melbourne, the $2.5M ‘Better green spaces in Australian primary schools’ initiative will advance the growing body of evidence on the benefits of nature by exploring how children’s behaviour, cognitive development, academic performance and wellbeing are influenced by green spaces at school.

One of the largest vertical gardens in the world has just been completed – containing 3,729sqm of vertical gardens along the M30 in . 🌿

This is a tremendous commitment by the City of Madrid as part of their Environmental Sustainability Strategy to address climate change.

✅Pollution sensors have been installed to monitor the pollutant capture of the panels
✅Functional vegetation species have been used for the walls that are highly resilient and require low water consumption.
✅The living walls are connected to an automated irrigation and monitoring system to keep the vegetation in optimal condition.

Apart from the obvious environmental benefits, the City has also praised the virtue of vertical gardens for their effectiveness as a graffiti deterrent! 💗

We had the privilege of being part of the held by the Australian Local Government Association in today.

We feel very passionate about policy development that supports the benefits of connection with nature for all Australians and had some valuable conversations with local government leaders like Nuatali Nelmes - Lord Mayor of Newcastle and Councillor Elizabeth Adamczyk, Ward 4, City of Newcastle from City of Newcastle, Australia about alternative ways to develop more liveable cities and suburbs.

Credit to Rob Garland and Chester Gooden for flying the Citygreen flag today.

Looking forward to the rest of over the coming days!

A stunning, award winning development, the Green Square Library and Plaza achieved 5 Star GreenStar ratings from the Green Building Council of Australia for its many climate positive initiatives, including a few hidden gems.

🌳The 8,000 sqm Plaza sits atop a series of underground storage tanks that recirculate stormwater that has been harvested, reusing it for the many thoughtfully placed water features and irrigation of the Plaza trees.

🌳 The potential urban heat island effect of this significant hardscape space is offset by fast growing, healthy lemon-scented gum trees (planted using Stratavault structural soil cells). The accelerated tree canopy growth made possible by Stratavault provides essential cooling and carbon sequestration for this busy inner city hub.

🌳Liveability was central to the design with a number of water-play areas, social gathering spots, and quiet reflection zones, fostering community engagement, health and wellbeing.

Take a guided tour of the hidden gems beneath the surface of Green Square Plaza with us!
