Neil turned 93 recently and if you’ve been around a while you may have seen him in the waiting room 🥰
He’s been a patient of the clinic for almost 15 years - referred to me by a uni lecturer, for which I’ll be forever grateful 😭
Over the years I’ve treated multiple generations of his family, heard endless wonderful stories, and was lucky enough to know his late wife.
Every year his birthday makes me reflect… partly because for the last 5 years he’s been joking that he might not make it to the next one (there was that time he fell asleep on the treatment table and his daughter and I were… very concerned 💀😂), but also because he’s the one who once reminded me:
“Growing old is a privilege that many don’t get.”
I think anyone in this field would agree - this is why we do what we do.
For the people. For the relationships. For the moments that quietly stay with you 🤍
Here’s to growing old, with a kind and peaceful heart.. just like Neil 🥂
